Probably just a mild recession in most areas.

I hope the bottom drops out of the market though. My investment account has been on the sidelines for the last 12 months...not because I am a genius just because of a divorce...I'd love to jump back in and double my money over a couple years.

Everything going on in the USA right now is also happening here in the UK too: rapid inflation, inflated house prices, supply chain issues, soaring energy prices, etc.

I put it down to a combination of conspiracies along with total mismanagement of the country and the economy.

For example, fuel prices surged when we came out of the pandemic because apparently production increased again. Yet there are no more factories here or elsewhere in the world compared to before the pandemic.

House prices here are absurd because for the last 15 years you have been able to borrow money virtually for free. And anyone who was actually sensible and had savings earned no interest on them as a result.

The government gave away billions in "covid loans" to bogus companies. And ditched the tax on house sales when the market was already boyaunt.
