Update:
Leaving the hospital now. Seems like it is fluid in the lungs. They're gonna figure out if the longest causing fluid messing with the heart or if the heart is causing the fluid on the lung. It's also probably going to get the biopsy if hes here through next week.

spring of 2019 dad went to the hospital for a tumor in his bladder region. long story short they said it was terminal. dad wasn't sleeping, mom and I work so there was no way we could care for him at home. in addition to not sleeping (acting crazy), he couldn't chit, feet were super swollen so walking was tough and he couldn't eat much. we could not care for him at home.
the hospital kept wanting to push him out because there wasn't anything the hospital "could do". the oncologist did a biopsy and suggested we try chemo as a Hail Mary. we did and the chemo wiped him out. I remember visiting him and he would just stare at the ceiling. it was nuts. the process for actually doing something took 3 months. month and a half doing tests and chit (took a lot of time to run tests and what not). another few weeks actually getting chemo and a another few weeks when dad was in that fuked up state.
well after the chemo dad couldn't eat. he had to get the liquid chit. again, the docs said hospital is a acute facility so he has to go. so I was like yeah ok but find us a place to send em that gives tpm. well then they said dad got worse and they basically said they were willing to send him to hospice and pay for it. 3 weeks at hospice this man got better and walked out on his own.
don't mean to give you unsolicited advice but my point is that you should always question the docs, do your own research and ask questions. be sure to advocate for your dad to make sure he is getting the best care. I've learned that the hospital system gives no chits. they will do the care fuking minimum.
second point is, you just never know. dad wasn't supposed to get better but he just got his chemo port taken out today and is able to go on 3+ walks. he was supposed to be dead in just a week. hang in there brah

My dads been home for about two - three days now. Hes still not feeling so good overall, he went to the doctors today got the stitches taken out, hes still wobbly when he walks without a cane or walker. Still needs to go back to the hospital for a couple of days for his surgeries. But overall improving slowly i think.
