I tried Hinge again. Got like 2 matches the first 5 min. Both rockets. Sadly both were more stale than a saltine cracker from the 90s. Since then I have seen maybe 5 attractive females out of 1,000+ swipes.

I have stayed on hinge the whole week and have swiped a ton of times to see what this app has to offer and what is out there in terms of females.

This is what I noticed

1. Most women say the same fukking thing on their profiles. Travel, hikes, food. Literally copy and pasted for most women things like "I either text back right away or a week later. No inbetween hehehe."
2. Something called "love language." Every single one is "physical touch" and "words of affirmation." Wtf?
3. Either chicago area is 90% overweight and unhealthy, or this is just all women now besides a small select few
4. All women have the vaccinated symbol on their profile. So I guess every chick got vaccinated.
5. Half of them mention "irish goodbye." wtf is that? I'm 25% irish and never heard of that
6. All of the ones that are attractive and compatible to me are held hostage in the star tab. I have never come across any of them, and if I want to like their profile I have to pay money for a rose to send. Why would I send a rose? Do girls have a tab like that for guys?

These dating apps for guys are a complete money grab. I ran through so many chicks on there they keep sending me chicks I've already x'd and I haven't once come across a female that was ever in that star category. Basically all the ones I'd actually like. Oh hears another jewish liberal chick or a chinese autistic chick looking for a life partner, or a conservative catholic chick with septum piercings and a dog obsession.


If this is the general state of single women in this world then I might die alone and without kids. Every christian chick on their uses all their things to say how much they love jesus, and all of the women I come across seem unstable. I don't see this as much irl.

Honestly, the best way to meet someone is just to start doing activities around a lot of people. Volunteer like with habitat or a soup kitchen. Even if you befriend a dude, some have sisters or a cousin they may set you up with who you’d never meet simply because you never cross paths. Network. If you put your best foot forward, are presentable and not a decaying piece of chit, people would gladly take a chance or set you up with someone they know.

Use it for a while, and your matches tend to get better (at least, in my experience). The Hinge algorithm takes some time to work properly.

Also, use the search filter feature. I think 1-2 filters are free, and they’re actually helpful. I used the ethnicity filter (no racist) and the political filter with much success.

Regardless, it’s an entertaining way to waste time if you’re bored.

Ahh my bad, I did miss the part where you mentioned matches and likes.

As for things drying up, give it time. I've had several matches come at once after a week or more of sending likes.

You can. I set it to “moderate” and “conservative”, as conservative women on dating apps are few and far between.
