I gained 100 lbs and then stopped listening to my treatment team and lost 50 lbs in the last year if you see my left pic is my before and my right pic is after.
So in losing weight I’m in effect “relapsing” into my eating disorder but I’m tired of being overweight where the therapists tell you to embrace size acceptance.
Plus I ended up with pre-diabetes so the extra weight is impacting my health at age 50.

But then again now I end up traveling solo, so in order to have relationships with other people there are trade-offs, as OP is experiencing.

Honestly, the fact that OP's gf apparently decided to just insist on this traveling wedding bs is pretty telling of how dogchit their relationship is. They've been together a year (which has to be getting to the point where they start considering each other finances/long-term goals together, if they haven't already months ago), and she doesn't *ask* him/have a discussion with him about it, but TELLS him how it's going to be. It's pretty cucked to already be putting up with that type of bs from a woman you've only been dating for a year.

What is it with sloots and weddings
BRB some stranger you barely know that said “Hi” to you a year ago asks you to go to their wedding
BRB spending thousands of dollars booking flights and hotels and new dresses

Yeah bro when you're in a relationship you gotta do some chit you don't like sometimes. Hopefully if you're with a good woman it won't be often and the happy moments derived from your relationship would greatly eclipse the difficult ones.

Also, no woman is good with money. They all spend it on bull**** and are living paycheck to paycheck. Its a mans job to correct this behavior and its her job to follow and comply.
OP, you dun goofed. Your thread is a good example as to why relationships are so fuked up nowadays. Both men and women really dont know **** about commitment, everyone's selfish looking for the short term pleasure.

All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

I understand both arguments but 2 things-
1) shes paying for everything
2) this wedding is of a close friends
If you were paying for everything and this friend is someone she hasnt spoken to or seen in 5 years then I understand why you would be mad but thats not what’s happening.
Go to the wedding. Apologize and you apologize some more after the wedding and then have a serious talk about how you feel about finances.
Hopefully both can come to an understanding.

Secondly, it's her best friends wedding. Unless her and her best friend are gonna stop being friends soon, she is always gonna hear about how chit you are for not showing up with her to that wedding.
third, she offered to pay? It's 1 fukin weekend, it's not like she's asking you to drop everything for a week long destination wedding or something. There will be more weekends this summer, and there will be more summers to enjoy. Weddings for their best friend don't come around too often.

Its a once every 3-5 year type of scenario lets be honest. Its not that big of a deal.

Any man worth a damn knows that women cost money, its just fukin comes with the package and we all know it. If you dont want to spend money in your woman, then either you are with the wrong woman or shes with the wrong man.
Also, no woman is good with money. They all spend it on bull**** and are living paycheck to paycheck. Its a mans job to correct this behavior and its her job to follow and comply.
OP, you dun goofed. Your thread is a good example as to why relationships are so fuked up nowadays. Both men and women really dont know **** about commitment, everyone's selfish looking for the short term pleasure.

i don't think he signed a disclaimer saying he had to travel with her to weddings. they are dating, not married. it's not in his city. he is better telling her no now, than being frustrated and getting drunk and potentially embarrassing her at the wedding. if it is however a real best friend of hers, and i don't mean just one of the girls. she should really make this point crystal clear.
a man for sure should provide if we are taking on traditional roles. otherwise he is just being a high level simp
he isn't in the wrong though. they probably just suck at communication. good he stuck up for himself and wasn't bullied into going.
luckily he has the misc for wisdom

Brah, I'm gonna put it to you straight and simple. If you don't want to do the **** you're expected to do in a monogamous relationship let her find someone that will. She has forsaken all other men to be with you, if you don't want to fulfill that role step out. It's not fair to her, she can find I guy that would go.
Money is nothing. Loyalty is priceless and can only be given away. If she giving you loyalty you're devaluing it tremendously.
And a wedding symbolizes exactly that.

The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

first off, a wedding in itself is a big event for a chick, and they want their dude to be there with them. No chick wants to fly solo at a wedding.
If you care about keeping her, you should go. If you don't, then don't go. But she will always remember this and will likely use it against you in any future arguments and you won't really have a decent rebuttal to it besides "I didn't feel like it". Sometimes you have to compromise if it's a chick you wanna go the distance with. This is one of those situations.

As I stated I was just fine attending a wedding alone as a bridesmaid but I’m an only child and very independent.
Gosh people go psycho over weddings and they’re honestly a joke of an expense ($50,000 and higher). I’m glad I’m not a younger man trying to finance a wedding if the bride’s parents can’t.

The the OP and his girlfriend are low value losers.
OP is immature and a loser....so obviously low value, can't even come up with the money to go to a wedding for a weekend, LOL just LOL.....which also immediately tells us his GF is fat / ugly.
OP you're seriously a loser. Get your chit together....you say you're in sales and you don't have $2k?? You must suck at selling bro.....probably because you are a weak selfish bish...like you are in this thread.
