In before that article about the cave diverZ

9/11 imagine having to make that choice between suffocating from smoke and jumping off 100th floor. Fuark. I thank God I’m spared that.

Those are all moments where everyone finds God.

probably most disturbing video i've ever seen (worse than any cartel murder, and ive seen them all) is one of a young couple stuck in a burning car crushed between two trucks, screaming for several minutes on end as the whole thing torches

I was going to mention the young man who got trapped in the very tight tunnel in the Nutty Putty Cave, thinking it was the 'birth canal'. He died of cardiac arrest after being upside down and under strain for many hours...straight brutal way to go. They couldn't even retrieve his body.

Other bad ways

Burning at the stake
Wearing breathing apparatus, then getting pulled below the ocean surface at a rate of 1500m per day. You would either die of dehydration, get eaten by sharks, get stung by jellyfish, die of shock...all the while getting further and further from the surface and everything get darker and darker.
Buried alive.
Blasted out into space in a suit, just to float around in the void until natural causes took you.

At 1500m per day you'd die within the first day due to the massive pressure, though being crushed from pressure doesn't sound like a nice way to go, I'll take it over waiting to die out of thirst or getting eaten by a shark while descending deeper and deeper into darkness.

I was so caught up in my morbid thinking that I failed to truly take water pressure into account. Yes, at 1500 per day you would die within the first day. The max recorded depth for a scuba diver is only just over 1000 feet. Even those atmospheric diving suits are no good below around 600m. Make that 1500 more like 200 per day.

eaten alive by a bear. they arent like big cats that snap your neck first, they just start eating as they pin you down.

at least with a shark attack you actually have a pretty good shot of them biting you and them leaving you alone. At the very least they will jerk you hard enough (hnng) to snap your neck or spine first, or you will drown before getting eaten too much.
