According to the recent census.gov findings:

- Blacks make up 29.2% of the population here in Columbus, OH


According to the 2021 Columbus Division of Police year end homicide report:

- Blacks made up 82.7% of the homicide suspects
- Blacks made up 77% of the homicide victims

A group of people that make up less than 1/3 of the population is responsible for more than 8 out of every 10 murders. I cant even wrap my head around how this is possible, or why stories like this dont get wider attention. This isn't hyperbole or emotional opinion - these are just facts. Simple data.

I cant even imagine the skewed numbers in bigger cities like Detroit, Baltimore, Chicago, Houston, etc.

So....before you say "You're just blaming someone else". No...I'm trying to paint the full picture and shed light on the things that lead to this. There was more than on catalyst that set off the decline in black culture and the breakdown of the black nuclear family. No, black men weren't "just leaving", they had to travel abroad to find suitable work because work was scarce for them already.

There's an obvious rift between the males and females within our community. It runs so deep that it effects black households to this day, but not enough of us are self aware enough to see what's happening. The young females worship and chase thugmaxxed dudes who treat them poorly, knock them up, then leave them. Men who are stable and who don't fit the stereotype are regarded as "corny or lame" which is a tough label for a black male in the community. So all it does is create a cycle of broken households producing broken individuals who produce more broken households. The cycle just goes on and on. We have to take responsibility...yes, but we collectively didn't justdecideto be this way. Get it? Now that isn't whowholeproblem, but that covers a significant amount of it.




The funniest fuking thing about this is that I'll type this chit out, and months later someone (likely from this thread who has read this reply) will still go out of their way and say I support the things I see in my community.

This too. Too often we're expected to be ambassadors for our race. Like, I'm just some dude with a family that's trying to make it while having enough free time to unwind and enjoy life. I'm nowhere near the place where this is a huge problem, and I'm not affluent enough to have the free time to go out and try to change the country. Locally though, and in my little rural area at that, I just saw a protest outside the district building calling for the resignation of the superintendent because of the unsatisfactory state of our school system. All of them black.

I think people get so wrapped up in race hysteria that they forget that most people, regardless of race, are just meaningless plebs trying to get by, provide for their families, and have a good time.

All I am going to do is be a good citizen, raise my son to be the same, and work towards retirement. I'd expect white people to do the same too. I'm not gonna ask some random white dude to "speak up about school shootings" or to "do something about the poverty and crime among poor southern whites". Why would I? They don't have anything to do with them. That's completely unfair and unrealistic.

That is all you should have to do. Be a role model by simply just being a good person. Thats all anyone wants, but when you have 52% of violent crime done by 13% of the population it does affect the other 87% disproportionately. No, on a personal level you are only responsible for yourself, but those numbers bring attention to the issue.
