you will find that life opens up and you will start to seek what truly fulfills you. For me its watching people learn, flourish, gain confidence and accomplish their goals.
Some people are fortunate to short cut this path and already know what fulfills them. Just sharing some things that should be pretty obvious but it wasnt for me early in my adulthood. Be mindful of your goals and your "why".

Funny how different people perceive the perspective in different ways. Shows a lot about a person's inner mental positions in life.

Every time I reach a financial goal, a new goal is instantly set. First $100k, then $150k, then $200k, one rental property, two rental properties, three, etc. I grew up poor as hell, and I never thought I'd be where I am, but I also never realized low much money is spent just living a middle class life.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

How can I be aware of myself and my ego without time? Please explain.
So if something impacts something else in a positive way (or negative for that matter), what would you characterize that as?
If nobody sought to do that.....what would the world be like. Id love to hear your perspective on it.
Again, I never claimed to be a saint or a monk. I understand things and actions feed ego.
Arent you being a bit hypocritical spending time on here and debating things with people? How does that not feed ego?

Having awareness in the moment = spending time
Why not do both?
I am just stating that those goals and achievements change as you hit them.
Maybe these are all steps to reach the highest form of fulfillment/enlighten. Im not arguing it doesn't. Im asking more of "how"
But are you qualified to answer? Being someone on an internet forum with 50k+ posts most of which is about drivel. How does that help you with your awareness of moment?

You can buy a yacht, but you cant buy success for your children as an example.
This all dawned on my when I was watching the Joe Rogan Interview with Mikey Musumeci
25 year old kid who has been practicing BJJ for 21 years of his life.
He said when he won worlds (the pinnacle of the BJJ) he felt nothing. He realized that spreading BJJ to others and watching them learn is what was fulfilling.
At such a young age I was thoroughly impressed that he got to this realization.

Look I know you are a troll, but I am engaging because I do believe there is good discussion to be had here. I just cant take you seriously when you talk about these kind of things yet then go on for thousands of posts about how your hook ups etc. It just doesnt align with your perspective here because that is all about feeding ego.

I do believe some things are definitely driven by insecurity. I think its a byproduct of life. No shame in admitting that.
A lot of things are driven by trying to climb a mountain and helping others climb the mountain.
WHen I walk into a fine restaurant.....there is no doubt some people think I work there. And I literally love it.....its by design. The major flaw in your assumption here is that it is easily changed....but not needed. In my circle we call that slow pimpin.

They say money doesn't buy happiness (massive cope imo), but it buys freedom. Imagine all the chit we'd do if we didn't have to concern ourselves with money much.

Most recently happiness comes from watching my boys learn new things and teach things to younger kids. The other day my wife's sister called her from Paris and said "man the shopping in Europe is great, I called and got a reservation to Chanel with zero issue....you should do the same when you are in Italy in September"
I thought to myself....."who GAF about that" Im glad my wife thought the same.

1. Yes I absolutely put money in a 401k when I was in Corporate America.
2. No I am not balling out of control. That is all relative however but honestly inconsequential. When single....I did pretty good though,
3. I did build a company from scratch that changed an industry.
4. You post advice as well right? So are you claiming people want to be you? Explain.

You keep setting new goals and seeking new achievements because you are trying to self actualize. All those goals are endless, if you reach one goal you will seek another. Your true self is just the formless awareness of everything. The formless space in which all forms are coming into existence. True self actualization is experiencing yourself as that space. That is what you are truly seeking.
And that is why all your goal setting and achievement seeking is endless, a treadmill, a conveyor belt. Because you’re looking in the wrong place for self actualization. You’re seeking achievements instead of awareness.

We both admit to having an ego (human condition)
You state you should seek self awareness
I say i try to do both
I post about things that feed ego
You do as well
I am giving perspective about one vector of life....since I am not qualified to give perspective on the awareness vector.
You are giving advice on the awareness....I am questioning your qualification based on your previous posts that feed ego.
I hope that helps spell things out.

I don't know if I've reached a "material goal" yet if I retired today I can look back and say I've had a rewarding and successful career.
Unfortunately with a daughter in private school, a BMW and a lot of traveling I feel I'm on the hamster wheel of keeping up with the bills. Even with a good income we've lived beyond our means, so it's time to cut back as I don't know how much longer I can work in tech at my age. Luckily we have a lot of equity in our home.
