It was a great talking point for President Joe Biden while it lasted: a forecast for the US economy to grow faster than China’s for the first time since 1976.
Biden highlighted it on a trip to Asia in May, and his national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, called it “a quite striking example of how countries in this region should be looking at the question of trends and trajectories.”
But a report Thursday showed US gross domestic product unexpectedly shrank at a 0.9% annual rate last quarter -- making it now unlikely to surpass China’s expansion this year.
Bloomberg Economics as of mid-May projected China would expand 2% this year, against 2.8% for the US -- the first undershoot since 1976. Reflecting a better-than-expected second quarter for China, and mounting evidence of a slump in the US, the team’s latest forecasts are 3.6% for China and 1.5% for the US.

As usual, Ecto is off in a "new" thread lying and crying about Trump, instead of addressingBiden's endless failures and the US Recessionin a thread that laughably predicted such great & awesome success...

Still waiting for Ecto to respond to this Biden dumpster fire of a thread... now that the US is in aRecession, and not the "record GDP" he's been lying about for the past six months.
(Instead, he just keeps crying about Trump in other threads).

I can't help but notice all the people in denial about us being in a recession are also the very same "experts" who declared in summer through fall last year that the inflation we were having was "transitory" and was expected to fade away last year.
Well if we're not in a recession, there's no need to pump hundreds of Billions of dollars in new spending around. The timing of this giant new spending bill is not coincidental. And here's the thing:recession is necessary. Too bad none of the corrupt kunts in our govt will admit that in front of a camera. No one wants it on their watch, but the bubbles created by primarily the Federal Reserve in coordination with Congress must deflate.

With the FBI covering for a low-life like Hunter and not fully engaged against China, our most significant enemy, I am losing hope for us all.
Wray has stated that China is our biggest threat, but China is entrenched in the Fed, colleges, land acquisition and thousands of non-ID'd sleeper spies. BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, with $9.5 Trillion assets under management, is heavily invested in China. Brian Deese and several other x-BlackRock execs are controlling Biden's bogus climate change ESG agenda, all knowing that their leader Xi, has no intention of following the US's ridiculous Climate Change "transition" as part of the New Liberal World Order.

Boy, it's almost like this is yet another hilariously backfired thread or something.
