wtf man this is the first time in history console has RAISED price 2 years after its been out.

lol at people that think we hit the bottom this spring. we about to really crash at some point in the near future. the feds will try to keep things afloat atleast through election season. idk if it will work but they have an interest to try one last pump this fall.

Theres many companies that make pc parts and I've payed the premium for many different products. I run games well beyond what the PS5 is capable of, there is no comparison.

Comparing this to my pc building experience is just cringe. I get to choose every individual part and the company that makes it.

People saying its a dumb move but I mean they literally cant even meet demand 2 years later. Ive never seen a ps5 on a shelf. Especially if their own costs are rising, wouldnt it make complete sense to do this

Got one last month when gamestop restocked. Was thinkng I made it before the increase, but it looks like the US isn't affected.

I think this is a bad sign. They already had history with PS3 being overpriced at launch. Im sure that the decision wasnt taken lightly, just looking at it from economics and business perspective and ignoring fanboyism, first time a console ever went up in price in history. A lot of other bad signs all around, food shelves being empty, retail saying people arent buying as much non essential items. Even local bodyshop told me they are closed on saturdays now, always used to be open. Real recession hasnt even started yet

got it at msrp on christmas of release but seriously? 2 years later price goes up on the MSRP.. since i've been living i probably never seen an MSRP raise on a console ever.

Those parts get cheaper and cheaper to make and especially now with everything coming down in price to at MSRP and below it.

Seems like Sony wants to make a quick buck with how fast they keep selling out.
