It looks pretty trash. I watched like 10 mins of it, and saw the elves get their asses kicked by a troll for the wahmen elve to come in and kill it with zero difficulty.

For the most expensive show in history they should have filmed it in New Zealand instead of a studio

I think the landscapes are beautiful.

The story is interesting and I'm curious what will happen and the scenes and acting are fast paced.

Everyone is a pretty solid actor.

With that being said IT'S WOKE ASF@CK....almostto the point of it being comically woke.

The Tokenism is extremely racist and black people need to speak up!!

There's literally some black Hobbits, ONE BLACK ELF, and a black Dwarf woman.

One kid appears to have a white mom while he looks Maori or something.

White people with no clue that they are racist are using extreme examples of Tokenism in the worst possible way. My gf does not typically care about these issues and pointed it all out and said what I was thinking, if they had groups of black characters visiting from other lands, it would be okay.

ALSO....ONLY FEMALES CAN FIGHT AND WIN.

So, you have an interesting story, fast paced and not boring acting, and then sexist "Mary Sue" badass females along with token blacks.

It's a real shame and disaster.

Who is allowing this stuff to be made with no insight into how racist it is and that everyone hates it?

I don't know the books extremely well but she is royalty and was written to be a powerful character. Gandalf reveres her and she was part of the group of them (Gandalf and Elrond) to go look for the necromancer in the hobbit. She should be better than most of the other elves but maybe not as far as they displayed. Anyways of all the issues, this was nothing for me.

The cgi sucks and the actors aren't great (nor are some of the characters so far) The woke comment is based on what, that there a black actors or is there more to it than that?

I'll still watch it but disappointed so far.

I watch the whole thing as unbiased as possible. Whether I like it or not. I'll make my judgement at the end.

I just watched all the Hobbit movies this week in preparation. Lord of The Rings was my favorite growing up. However, because of when The Hobbit came out, I never watched them. This week was the first time. I enjoyed them thoroughly.

I don't have high hopes for this tv show because usually nowadays everything is ruined, but I'll still watch it. Fuk it.

I don't know a ton about all of the specifics about characters, but isn't Galadriel like more of a sorceress than a warrior? Seems like they are trying to make her the Aragorn of this show.

The new Elrond also sucks. OG Elrond was a great characters and leader. New Elrond seems like a soycuck beta.

I addressed the Galadriel scenes in my previous posts.

She would be Wonder Woman among the other Justice League characters. Wonder Woman is a female Superman but all the other member of Justice League are super too. So, they need to act super but Wonder Woman can still be the best of the best.

In the scenes with Galadriel, the elves are just like regular people, a monster throws ice at them, they can't move out of the way, etc.

So, Galadriel should be fighting among near equals like Wonder Woman but instead, they show that she is massively better than other elves who are defenseless.

That's a classic woke, female badass.

The female Hobbits are the badasses. It seems they found a famous wizard from the stories and weren't afraid and noble enough to help him.

The Maori kid's mom is a badass.

All woke tiny badass females.

The Tokenism with having blacks that make no sense as characters is woke racism.

I do like the story but they have ruined the show.

But srs how are people upset Galadriel is OP? People mad that she is so strong have you actually read the books or no?

It is kinda weird that they sprinkled in black characters amongst the entire cast tho. WTF is up with black dwarfs? Did they get a lot of sun exposure in the mines that they needed the melanin or perhaps just stood too close to the forge ayyy lmao

The story seems good and I like the CGI settings.

I am interested in where the story is going but the woke stuff sticks out too much and kind of ruins the story.

For instance, I like the black guy who is the elf. However, there's no reason why he would be black. So, his character is ruined because he's an obvious woke character.

Also, there's a scene where a white character is a bar says to the black elf, "I'm tired of you people living in the past! (meaning Black Americans) and the black elf says the "the past is part of us". Later the black elf says something about believing in people, meaning white people.

Why was that in there in relation to the story?

Are the black characters supposed to be middle Earth slaves? Are super being white elves supposed to be second class citizens?

It's just dumb.

Other than that stuff, and there's a LOT, the story is intriguing.

Okay that was indeed bad. There were a few other scenes that were rough too....but I liked the premise and enjoyed watching it. I knew going in it wouldn't come close to the original LOTR. Maybe I'm just partial to anything LOTR.

Looks awful. Even the name is fukking stupid. Lord (of the Rings the Rings of) Power.

House of the Dragon looks awful, too. Are either worth a watch? As someone who can't stand Marxist propaganda ruining franchises, I don't think I'm gonna bother. Two or three episodes of Kenobi was enough.
