Am I the only one who is weirded out by all of these live actiom Disney remakes in general? Some stuff that was origjnally made via animation just wasn't meant to be turned into live action.
Then of course they always slather blatant amounts of wokeness onto them on top of all that. I don't see the appeal.

This is made on purpose. Divide men and women, divide blacks and whites, divide young people and old people, etc. These guys are geniuses and theres no way anybody is going to convince me that this hollywood agenda is simply in good faith to be inclusive or whatever, this **** is made on purpose to divide us even further.
Brb 2 generations were born and raised seeing little mermaid and it being an iconic movie from their young days, brb completely change her up so 90% of the people that saw the original little mermaid to begin with arent that interested nor feel a nostalgic connection to the movie.
These guys arent stupid. They know this is going to completely bomb. They know that if they had casted ariana grande or whatever the movie would have been 20x more successful and would have made bank. They arent losing money for the hell of it, theres an agenda.

What is being stolen from the white culture? I’m guessing it’s a direct form of theft, the character is clearly described by the writer as having clear pinkish skin and blue eyes, so this is a direct theft of the actual character.
No different than if someone took over the entire metropolitan museum Africa section and replaced it with another white section, or casting Matt Damon as Shaft from now on, or having Ben Affleck play the black panther, and renaming it the white panther. Stuff like that.
Did the white people steal black culture when they brought black slaves over? That’s a tricky question, because a lot of the black culture was made by white people, R&B the rhythm and blues the black music as you know it today was created almost entirely by white people, and frankly there isn’t much culture to speak of in Africa, in case you haven’t figured it out Wakanda is not real, not to mention that you conveniently gloss over the fact that the biggest slave traders, the biggest slave owners, the first slave owners in America, those were all blacks, there are also plenty of white slaves. And it was the white people who were dying to free black slaves.
