I'm not crystal clear on how well the tentative plans that turned into a whole weekend thing was communicated but to play Devil's advocate, asking someone to do something on short notice when they have tentative plans seems like a bit of a sh*t test to see if she's willing to potentially re-arrange things to see you which I don't think is a recipe for success.
But I 100% agree she should not have left you hanging. Not cool.
Agree with you on "don't be passive-aggressive/condescending". As for the sh*t test, to be fair, I don't think he knew that she has tentative plans until he invited her to Sunday and she responded with tentative plans. She did say she will let him know as soon as she can but instead she let him know when she is AT the party. LOL.

She replied with this:
“I really do apologize. I got caught up in the weekend and forgot to text you. I totally understand your frustration. It was nice getting to know you and I wish you the best.”

I feel like sh!t tbh. But I was honest, but too harsh maybe. The fact she didn’t try to reschedule kind of stings, it seems as suspected she really doesn’t care enough. Would love your thoughts on a reply if possible.
Why are you feeling like crap? You were honest with her and I think she got defensive and took the easy way out.

She may be a decent person but it she's got some growing up to do to be ready for a mature relationship. Seems like she's a bit of a project with potential at the moment and a lot of people need to grow and learn on that front themselves, even when you feel the urge to guide them there and mold them into the partner you want. Give her time to do so and go out and date other women right now. Maybe you'll meet someone who sparks your interest more than her. If not it seems like you're not on terrible terms and could reconnect down the road.

Maybe say something like "Thanks. Best of luck to you too. No hard feelings."
I agree with everything you said except for the last line. At this point just leave it alone.

If you respond back to her then both of you are acting like children now. LOL. Like midi said, move on. And for goodness sake stop looking at her IG.

Her response was highly emotional obviously. She’s upset it’s ending. And because of her emotions she’s making claims that aren’t true.

I might respond in a mature manner (not sure yet) and also call out what isn’t true that she said. Hard to leave those comments untouched.

Also, she was the one who suggested ending things lol..and now she’s mad I supposedly judged her and it’s all my fault. Sheesh

I agree this is childish, but you see this all the time when people aren’t using any logic. It’s not cool but it happens.

Lol she can't handle that you didn't apologize, beg for another chance, and ultimately validate her.
If she truly meant what she said AND wanted to see you again AND was mature with strong communication skills, she would've followed her apology with the suggestion of another date.
But I believe she wanted validation more than to see you again, thus wrote what appears to a message suggesting you go your separate ways on good terms, but revealed that was not in fact what it was after she didn't get the response she wanted.

Lol brah I do agree she got emotional and angry because I didn’t argue with her ‘ending things’..she’s used to people begging probably. Shocking how immature her reply is though, taking a shot at me.. deep down she knows that’s not true though!

Probably my ego talking but I’d like to think she still wanted to see me as well, but is a poor communicator and wanted to play games instead first.

I want to call her on this bs but I also don’t really want to reply. As of now I likely won’t say anything. The truth is, I put in effort, I was nice to her and tried to progress things, and she’s been inconsistent. Lol at her saying I found one fault of hers as if I ended it, and she’s acting like it’s all my fault. Going to be tough not replying but I probably shouldn’t.

Not worth replying at this point. She has to know she did wrong by leaving you hanging. We all know everyone has their phones on them 24/7. It would have been really simple for her to shoot you a quick text that she couldn't make it on Sat/Sunday. I would leave it alone now.

Sounds like you dodged a bullet there. She comes across very immature, not willing to accept she's at fault and she's one of those chicks that's addicted to the IG validation/attention (which is the majority of girls of these days).

You will find a better woman than her for sure 100%. There are women out there who are more mature and who do communicate a lot better than that.

Echo above, bottom line - when a woman wants to see you, she makes time.

Haha holy chit this woman is a piece of garbage; hate to say I knew it... This woman sounds NPD or BPD as fuk. You need to go no-contact 100%. Block her number, stop looking at her instagram, cut off all contact with her. Do not reply to that obvious bait; she just wants to fight. Your "best of luck" text was a good note to end on, so leave it at that and go find another person to talk to.

Brah, it’s shocking how immature she proved to be. Today was icing on the cake. Personally I think it was worth giving it a chance, but her true colors showed. And I know I should have probably left when she first showed a couple signs that she wasn’t prioritizing me (which shows she probably is prioritizing someone else), but it’s always very hard to cut bait right away when you like a lot of things about them. Thankfully I didn’t waste too much time. And I’ve been through this before so it don’t hurt like it used to, as they say. I will not be responding to her.

Yes indeed. The more I’ve gotten to know her and learned about her and got more data points, the more immature she became. Stings a bit but that’s life I gotta move on..

Agree not worth replying now. She’s clearly asking to take this up a level and start arguing more. Her last reply was truly a gem!! Clearly showing she’s angry and not mature. And yes the not replying thing was a huge flag this weekend…whether it’s other people involved or simply immaturity and not valuing me..doesn’t matter. I don’t regret standing up to her and being firm with her, it showed me she cannot respond in a decent way and is not right for me.

I have a feeling now she may end up crazier than expected. Won’t be shocked if she reaches out with some venom again, in which case I’ll ignore or block her.

It’s super tempting to reply because I’ve spent some time with her and connected with her, and I want to tell her all the reasons she’s being fukd up, but I know it won’t benefit me. Damn.

Brah, I gotta admit it’s been hard to not reply to that last text. I think she’s maybe just immature obviously and emotional. With that said, besides dissing me last weekend about our last minute plans (which I think she was sorry for but also bitter that I ignored her which she deserved), she wasn’t necessarily terrible at all. Obviously it had an effect on her. I feel bad like maybe I was too harsh by not responding. Maybe I could have explained things and she’d own up to it.. I know I shouldn’t be looking but I noticed just now she unfollowed me on social media tonight. I haven’t reached out to her. I know I shouldn’t care but I’m feeling like I never said all my piece and I still like her. Do you think I’m just not thinking straight?

It’s possible she thinks I overreacted and flat out don’t care about her because I stopped responding entirely. But I feel I don’t have good closure here.

You’re using extreme generalizations brah. Some of it is true but it’s a bit much. She has a good career, is close with family, works hard and even has a job in the side. She is usually nice too, albeit a bit flaky and dramatic as well, probably too hooked on attention like so many people these days. People tend to think all black and white sometimes on here, I guess it’s just natural. Keep in mind we come here usually with the negative situation and don’t leave in all the positives. I’m trying to use reason in this situation and look at the whole picture. She definitely does have some flaws that I’ve pointed out, and doesn’t seem to be right for me most likely, but it’s not so cut and dry. Reason I’m contemplating a response is I also don’t want to leave things unsaid that I need to say to move on.

Edit, added: also she’s not some boondocks person as you’re guessing. Btw I have nothing against small town good people, and there are a lot of them. She’s More of a city person in a diverse area, where this behavior is likely most prevalent. But these days it’s common no matter where you are.

One thing I agree on, she’s definitely caught up in consumerist values. And also, it’s extremely unlikely she could be right for me even if she eventually grows up..it seems too unlikely when she’s so close minded and immature at this point.

I honestly wouldn't say anything at this point. I get the no closure thing, it really sucks. But sometimes it be like that.

Leaning this way as of now. The fact that she does wrong, and then takes shots and tries to fault me, makes it seem like she just can’t look at reality and reason.

I’ll likely just unfollow her also next couple days and leave it behind. I still have a few feels about our connection so I don’t like seeing even her profile pic. Call me sensitive but it’s just how it goes with me, can’t help it.
Anyways I’m about to head to a brewery in a couple hours and I’ll be meeting some friends/girls. Gotta move forward..

Sup Misc. Do you have any advice for me on how to meet girls (srs)? Recently got out of a relationship of 7 years. Never used dating apps really. Here's my circumstances:

- 30 y/o
- No kids
- Homeowner
- Small town ~35.000
- Make good money
- Small social circle, mainly work colleagues

I don't know where to start lol. Last time I was single I was 18...

It's hard to find a lot of social activities in a small town. Are there any meetup groups? Do you play any sports that can be co-ed such as tennis or volleyball?

Dating apps also can be utilized, although be prepared for a mind fuk if you've never used them.

There must be groups. I've never done anything like that so I'm probably being judgy, but I think the people going to them in my town must be kinda weird lol. I'd love to be wrong though.

Co-ed sports is a good idea actually. I've wanted to try out squash. Maybe I'll go to a beginners course if there's such a thing.

The dating app scene doesn't tempt much, looks like a lot of weirdos and games being played. Which ones are the least crap?

Not sure if srs but yes it sucks balls brah but I shut it down and also unfollowed her as well. She’s either just a horrible communicator or she didn’t care enough. Too many issues to deal with. Probably will never talk again.
