Their work is so good that they get a pass for heavily modding old porsches.

I watched some vids of their garage and it looks dope AF.

Gut the car and start over.

Yeah tbh I've never seen such clean work being carried out before. Modding is generally tacky, not these guys.

Would be more interested in opening a business without government interference

No taxes, no permits, no fire marshals, no health inspectors, no property taxes.

Being a business owner can eat a dik. I just like cooking food for homeless people and handing it out wherever I see people with a hot jug of soup from my truck. Would be completely illegal if I tried turning me doing that into a non profit or something.

Cuz the guy whose in -15 weather with no coat or gloves, might get sick if I donโ€™t properly monitor the temperature of the soup (even though it stays steaming hot until I give it all away)

Fuk societyโ€™s rules, thatโ€™s my issue, not the start up costs.

Oh I know all about them brah. I'm balls deep into Alfas and have owned 4 of them over the years. Currently own a red 2017 Giulia Veloce 325BHP 2.0 petrol, and a 2009 white 159 TI TBi 240BHP. I plan on selling the 159 and picking up a GTV 3.0 Busso soon.

GTA-R is an awesome car & probably the all time best Alfa, but I've got a thing for the SZ and the 9c.

Whisky distillery. Everything done old school. Floor malt barley and turn it with a shovel, peat fired kiln, old cast iron mash tun, big wooden washbacks and giant Forsyth stills.

I'd also go back to university and take every random course I've ever bee interested in (not a business but while we are on the topic of rich)...

I want to build custom BBQ pits and assorted other metal fab projects, but I need to get enough passive/semi-passive income streams coming in that it could truly be a passion project so that I work at my own pace and don't have to rely on sales for my primary income. This is actually a realistic goal for me that I plan on attaining in the next 10-15 years and am already taking steps to do so.

I would also love to open a 1-2 weekly BBQ venture, but as Duckliver said above, the rules and regs enforced by the local governing entities would take too much of the fun out of it. If I could just be a guy running a 500 gal smoker and selling brisket/ribs/chicken at a reasonable price without dealing with any of the red tape I'd be happy AF.

I find a ton of things interesting. I grew up working on the farm with my dad and I think I could have been happy with that for the rest of my life. Farming is both physically and mentally challenging. A successful farmer has to know plants, animals, real estate, politics, and on and on. However, small family farms have been dying for the last 50 years and my dad encouraged me to do something else. I chose engineering for a career. It could be perfect for me, too, I think. I just wish my profits were double (that's actually doable) and we won every proposal (probably unrealistic). I lost one yesterday I really wanted and it sucks.

If I could monetize a hobby I think it would be cool to get in the firearms industry. I love guns, hunting, and shooting. At one point I thought about training to be a gunsmith. If I had unlimited funds and never had to work again I'd learn machine work and outfit a shop.

Restaurant owner.

Craft a single specialized product to high standards that fills a much-needed void in the market, and expand slowly through word-of-mouth.

Minimal menu, two-three items with drinks. Thinking of ethnic food like Mexican/Asian but occupying a smaller niche of those broad categories. For instance, a Mexican donut shop.

As a serious answer: Would be awesome to make documentaries about little explored areas around the world. Do lidar/gpr scanning and maybe some exploratory excavations.

might sound cliche, but my dream would be to run my own gym with my own rules. large Warehouse size, plenty of equipment and heavily influenced by old school style gyms . I'd have a section dedicated for freestyle wrestling (not in view of the actual gym and separated).

This would be #3 on my list. I just don't see there being enough of the type of lifter that would be about it for it to be profitable.

Sadly this is true. Though it can be achievable if in a good location and marketed correctly in a large city that doesn't have something similar. Muscleworks in London, UK being an example.
