20% of every week's income goes into index funds every Friday (VOO, VUG, VYM, BND) at 85/15 stocks to bonds ratio.
Just got done buying a few minutes ago.

food and gas inflation will cost me 10K this year?
but the real estate market i'm looking at already tanked 350K and tanking more
also the stocks I'm looking at tanked around 30% on average and tanking more.
why wouldn't I be in cash position and wait. I am literally buying at bigger and bigger discounts.

Still investing into tsp and a little into ira but mainly doing savings now for home down payment.
Can get a 0 down VA loan with no pmi but still want to have at least a year's worth of mortgage payments saved + closing fees.

keep in mind, stupid cashcels, that the USD is pretty much at its peak currently, so inflation is about to erode the value of your assets (relative to stocks, real estate, commodities, even crypto) like a BBC going in dry

Bear market is probably gonna last until the middle of next year at least and that's excluding any potential black swans, I don't think there's much of a rush

Invest in what exactly? Real estate interest rates have climbed and property values have not declined enough to make the purchase worth it. The stock market is in the ****ter and most minds agree it'll go down further. Crypto mirrors the stock market. The price of precious metals is already high and chances of it declining in the future is pretty high. Etc.
As bad as inflation is the only real thing you can do is stock cash and cautiously dollar cost average into the market/crypto.
I'm mainly building a cash reserve. When it looks like the market is recovering and BTC starts to climb I'm going heavy into crypto for the next bull run.

I'm happy to be flush, for now.
Or as my woman says: "wir schwimmen im Geld". Maybe I'll take some higher risk ventures in conflict zones, and truly make huge $$$$ in the medium term.
