Not looking good boyos. Especially with UK having to step in and stop a financial crisis this week with their pension funds defaulting.

"Not looking good"

It hasn't been looking good for a while.

Most banks are like 30%+ down YTD.

Eurobanks are beyond fooked. Some of them are down 60%+(Credit Suisse)

pope ordered all money from swiss banks (credit suisse) to be moved to vatican controlled accounts by Sept 30th. Interesting timing.
Current CDS for CS are trading near 2008 highs.

Not looking good for CS.

People saying the government will bail them out like in 2008 don't realize we are in a sovereign debt bubble as well.

US has 31 trillion in debt and will be bankrupt if interest rates stay at these levels. This has been brewing for decades, will be interesting to watch.

Absolutely.

We all know how it will end though: Through the further draining of the wealth of the middle class.

Seems like every time these financial crises happen the middle class gets the old fist up the rump.

Don't think so. The rest of the world will go bankrupt trying to pay back loans in $USD first since the demand is so strong. The dollar milkshake has been brewing for years.

Yeah every sovereign has this issue, not just the US. The USD is running like a wrecking ball through emerging markets and now even England.

Wrong, governments don't have a choice this time around. How will they bail them out? By printing money that is not backed by anything...the Fed had 800 billion on its' balance sheet in 2008, now it has 8.8 trillion.

They will try to bail them out by printing more money, but more money printing leads to more inflation, and eventually hyperinflation. This is the end game for the Bretton Woods system.

In 2008, we could fight the crisis with money printing as inflation was low.

inflation is high right now. they cannot turn the printer back on to bail people out without triggering runaway inflation.

USD is in a pressure cooker, it will skyrocket but there will come a time when everything explodes as nations are printing their local currency to change into USD at an ever-increasing rate. DXY might hit 150 soon, who knows. But at some point nobody can pay back the loans anymore and demand for USD exceeds supply by a large margin.

Credit suisse is one of the shadiest/scammiest banks to ever exist.

They created 3x levered etfs that imploded and a reverse vix etf that closed down overnight.

That bank has cost people millions and they have suffered 0 consequences. Karma finally coming full circle

Hope they all fukin rot

For the average person with an investor mindset, this can only be looked at as good news dfs

*Provided you don’t go homeless or starve in the coming crisis, of course*

The soy boy monetary policy where everybody gets a bailout has prevented healthy brush fires from clearing the dead undergrowth for years. Now, the world is about to be engulfed in an inferno

As countries get desperate, there is a higher risk of wars breaking out that will make a bank collapse look easy

China’s currency is getting crushed right now and at the same time their housing market is still crashing. If they didn’t have Russian oil on the cheap right now, it would already be WW3

Dicey situation global homo has gotten us into ..

You do realize a suisse bank bailout would be funded by Switzerland with the central bank able to print basically the strongest currency in the world. I think they can swing it.

I mean I would just end up putting the entire post in bold font here.

- liquidity crisis
- currency crisis

It could go very quickly or a could limp along another minute or two, IDK.

A few different people I've followed seem to believe that the Fed may try to pivot one last time into open QE, but that when it comes to that the road leads to hyperinflation and the death of the dollar.

8 countries now either have CBDC or they have a plan, or a trial starting or something.

Get physical cash money in your hands if you can do that and you haven't yet. I've been reading about people being hassled about withdrawing cash from their bank accounts for a few months now and just saw another one today.

Also have seen advice to spread money out into multiple smaller bank accounts if you have enough money to do that and can't get it out in cash or don't want to.

Several reports that there is a lot of buying of physical silver and gold also.

The pension funds margin call crisis isn't over.

Besides cash most regular people should have in a good supply of foodstuffs. I know- broken record Katya. But it's no joke.

If the monetary system does actually freeze up [credit/debit cards not working, bank holiday] then that means there isn't a trusted means of transacting business which means that "just in time" energy and food isn't being distributed in the way we have become dependent on.

ETA: The Fed is holding an emergency closed meeting on Monday.

One of 3, but a pretty easy to follow video rene last Fed pivot.

Credit Suisse investment banking arm is phucked. There private banking arm is still probably best in the world. They will get rid of the investment banking arm same as Goldman db citi and BoA because investment banking is about to go through a 3 year nuclear winter.
