Nice try, OP with the misinformation. They already passed an inflation reduction act. The inflation is over.

Oh wait... that happened in Detroit in 2016.

The terminal interest rate was going to be 4.5%. Mortgages usually float 2.5%-3% above that, hence the 7-ish rates we've been seeing.
Today's print is probably going to push that terminal rate higher and mortgages towards 8%.
The 10 year is also going to move into the low 4s and continue to br00talize stocks.
The Fed pretty much has no choice to continue hiking until something breaks. There is literally 0 bullish outlook for anything right now srs.

Anyone that bought a home past 2 years should have their butthole clenched.
Mortgage Rates WILL rise up to 8% before year end. Likely 9% by end of q1 2023.
9% rates nukes the housing market. Right now 7% is crushing nyc suburbs. Tons of price drops and homes that won't sell. 9% is another level though.
As fed raises rates aggressively there will be layoffs. Stocks will continue to crater.
Gdp will be down so we will be in stagflation.

I'd be stressed if I was a landlord right now. Once your tenant can't make his payments due to stagflationary recession and you cannot find another tenant they will be left holding the bag.
