Yeah after mid 20's everyone just puts on an act at work to fit in or get promoted. It's impossible to meet people unless you act like that and follow the latest trends. If you aren't like that idk what you're supposed to do.

Like I said most people are just fake & a lot don't have minds of their own. They just all follow the same type of **** because it's popular & to fit in. I also feel like most people would screw you over if they could benefit from it.

Yeah exactly man. I've never been like that. Yes a lot of people will gossip or throw you under the bus. It's why i only associate with those that are very similar to me and share the same values.

Are any of y'all doing any sort of treatment for depression and/or anxiety? I get counseling every other week and also some meds, both of which have helped me tremendously.

Man idk what to do. At my job there's barely any work to do and i don't think anyone else has much either so we all just stand around doing nothing. People don't talk to each other or anything either. Idk how i'm supposed to continue working if there isn't enough work to even last me 20 hours per week. I swear automation just recently took over or something because there just isn't chit to do anymore.

Another day of groundhog day. Nothing ever changes. Same work. People talking about the same things. Same thing happening on repeat yet again. How are people content with this wagecel rotter lifestyle?

It's due to them having social lives most likely like I've said. Work isn't that bad to them because they have things to look forward to when they're not at work. What's lame & boring to us is exciting to them which makes life good for them.

I have a gf and do things outside of work though but I'm still miserable here all day. Nobody is even talking it's just like hi John or how bout that football score every day. It's incredibly boring.

I keep having mood swings at work because of the boredom and monotony of doing the same work every day

I have no friends and i havent changed my life in years, i want to make friends but dont know how and the closest thing i had to friends were people on the internet and the one i thought i was closest with ignores me

Im also single and 28 and need a job but im ashamed to work at a grocery store

People also found out im attractive and my internet friends girlfriends keep hitting on me to make them jealous or something

My ex girlfriend(s) did the same so i broke up with them, at this point i dont care if i dont see them in a long time

I miss my internet friends, im just doing this all for money because im going to be 29 next year and i havent travelled and havent had a friend since high school

Try to collect employment/(un)emoloyment insurance, they give you money from what they take for you not to work

I was getting paid for being at home and being paid from what i got working, i made around $12,000 and would just sit at home watching movies or trolling online

This will probably get deleted, but i tried overdosing on those pills they give schizophrenia patients to sleep. I survived and no longer fear death, besides people at home putting me down, im good. Fk i want friends and family so bad.

I just have nobody to talk to. Everyone is just in their own little world with watching whatever is on netflix or social media or spends their time eating and doing drugs all day. I'm completely lost at what to do. At work my only coworker doesn't even talk he just sits there listening to politics radio. If i didn't have to ask him something sometimes he'd literally never talk. But neither does anyone else really they only talk if it's about tv shows.

Some of this resonates with me; I am struggling with fairly bad anxiety right now. Getting through work days at home is a real struggle. I have been going into the office a few times a week, which has definitely been helping as it is a change of scenery. It is a boring desk job with little to do, which makes the day go slloooowwweerr...which is the last thing I need. The anxiety was prompted by health issues and worrying. I am taking anti-biotics for the health issue but nothing for the anxiety. I was taking St. John's Wort for the anxiety, but honestly it does nothing for me. The anxiety affects me mainly in the form of obsessive thinking, intrusive thoughts, imagining discomfort which isn't there, very low mood. I could go on.

Going out for walks has been helping, but I come back and I am right back into it. Evenings and nights are slightly easier as I know the day is done. I have been staying with family members at weekends (I live alone) which has been a great help.
