Inb4 Cashman tries to argue signing Judge improves the team. We better sign Rodon too.

You just got Judge. Stop whining wanting the team to improve and be happy.

wow padres offered judge more money like they did turner and he too turned them down.

Surprised, I don't know that the tax rates between new york and california are tons different. Padres better chance of winning and he grew up in california?

Is this the best "betting on yourself" has ever turned out for anyone in baseball? What a contract for a 30 y/o.

Dude got an extra $145 million by betting on himself.

Also lol @ the Padres no one wants to go there. Truthfully I don't think Judge wanted to go just anywhere even if it was for more $$. It was always about the Yankees/Giants.

Yea and i didn't think about it but new york probably is a better market than san diego for other types of comp. he's filthy rich either way, might as well go where you want.

“We talked about that last year,” Snitker said of the division. “Those teams are going to continue to push and get better and they have resources. That’s the way it is. A really good division and it’s the same boat that we were in a year ago. We got to play the games. We knew going in last year that these teams were going to get better.I feel like we are too. We’re going to be another year older, another year more experience with some really talented young players and I think we’re all really excited to get to get to work again.
LOL

The Braves already trying to sell the idea we got better and made "improvements" by having a more experienced group going forward. But according to zere0wn Braves fans shouldn't be mad at all with how this organization treats its fans like we're idiots.

So the Cubs could have brought back Contreras for the same amount of money they gave to the worst hitter in the league and a number 3 starter? Am I understanding this correctly?

I really don't understand what the cubs are doing in general, they seem directionless. Weak division too, could probably make a run with some signings.

Wanting someone to make a couple signing to make a run, huh?

Well that sounds pretty familiar to me you sh*t for brains.

When are all these shortstops going to sign? Thought once turner signed it would be a little faster than this. Padres going so hard for a shortstop is surprising, right? They've got 2 on the roster now. Kim was worth 5 WAR last year and good defensively. Heyman reports padres are talking to boagerts. Padres need a 2B kind of, but boagerts wants to play short?

Braves are so cheap they trade away a top 10 prospect in their system to get a reliever and cash sent back their way instead of just signing one.

And we’re really supposed to believe this team has any intention of ever being a top 5 payroll just because the owner said so

Right…..

Swanson to the Red Sox now probably. It's over. Can't wait for all the errors from Grissom this year.

Yankees need to sign Rodon and Dansby. Trade for Brian Reynolds. That would be a great off-season.

I think Rodon is a possibility, but Dansby, I doubt it. And the asking price for Reynolds is probably stupid
