Getting violently destroyed is the best thing for an aspiring city. Look at Tokyo. It was a **** house with old wooden houses. Now it's a modern megapolis thanks to allied bombing runs

That's probably the only thing that could unite the American people. "act of war" against us.

that doesn't make sense, at the time the US navy was small in power compared to Japans. The chance victory greatly favored the Japs at the start of the war.

I was going to post, F@ck around and find out.

Japanese leaders had to be on drugs to think they could attack Americans, leave, and nothing would happen.

Back then, America would have come to Japan in rowboats to destroy them if necessary.

Nah there is enough proof of what i'm saying at this point. They had certain advantages compared to the US Navy, mostly in the beginning, but lol if you don't think the US military wouldn't steam roll Japan at the time.

At the time Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, they were weakened and extremely desperate.

At the time, American people did NOT want to enter the war. After Pearl Harbor they all supported it.

Same with 9/11.

Same with the next false flag attack.

Yeah if anything england and the usa were sitting Bs k laughing as poland and Russia were getting their asses handed to them. The fact england was laughing and traded on Poland actually pissed Hitler off and he started bombing england. The Japan thing to me was confusing though. There is a show though that shows what would have happened had the axes won and Japan took over the whole usa. They were relentless. Lining people up by the hundreds and just shooting them down

certain advantages?

In 1941, the Imperial Japanese Navy possessed 10 battleships, 10 aircraft carriers, 38 cruisers (heavy and light) while the US had 15 battleships, only 5 aircraft carriers, 18 heavy cruisers and 19 light cruisers

steamroll? hardly. us was vastly outgunned at the start, not to mention early war jap naval aircraft were also superior.

you soil the glory of the us naval victory over japan. to fight an enemy superior in number and firepower and yet still be the victor

The USA had to ability to pump new stuff out much faster than Japan.

At the start Japan had the advantage based off what they have.

Once USA got into war mode, they had ZERO chance.

What USA was capable of was far times greater than Japan.

Japan only attacked USA out of pure desperation at that point.

You only focusing on Navy, but bombs >>> navy.

But my main point is this: It's a 100% fact, American leaders knew Japan was coming for Pearl Harbor. This is well documented. You tell me why the USA didn't stop them. They 100% couldve.

Yeah leaders probably knew about it.

But this isn't an anime. This is real life. Japan made their choice, they lost. End of the story. American victory. Everything before doesn't matter.

The U.S also wrote the Japanese constitution lol

It's the destruction caused by one big firestorm about 2.3 miles in diameter

The majority of the dead survived the initial blast wave but were killed by the firestorm that ensued

No doubt most wooden structures in that 2 mile diameter were blown apart to various degrees but the final picture of near total flattened devastation is due to an extremely intense firestorm, with the only things remaining those that could withstand the firestorm

Today's common nuke warheads are even more effective at causing fire and firestorm per kiloton or megaton, and over radiuses 3-10 times larger. The percentage of people killed by firestorm (as opposed to instantly or quickly due to blast or radiation) in nuclear war today would be even higher due to that.

The fireball of the explosion itself was ~900-1200 feet in diameter and centered 1500-1900 feet above ground. The radiated heat was so extremely intense it set many things on fire at distance

"You only focusing on Navy, but bombs >>> navy."

silly statement, all war with japan hinged exclusively on naval power, how else can two powers fight island vs island across oceans.

all i'm saying is your lack of understanding how mighty the jap navy really was makes all your other points less valid.
