Lol.

All Putin has to do is withdraw and blame nato. Get the Russian people on the fear train for a few more years and try again before he dies.

I left my first post in this thread in mid-September, how could I write something about "8 month ago". I did not say anything about "ammo", only about russia's limited and running out of high-precision rockets. if they used to launch 70-80 such missiles per day, now they launch the same number once every 2 weeks in order to bombard power plants.

The last time I had a blackout was December 16 for 40 minutes, but I usually have it 24/7.

They are flying them 20m off the ground. It's pretty impressive however I'd rather, for the sake of us all, not strike at a presumed portion of theor nuclear triad.

It seems intentional.

Mind you there are much more valuable targets as they can at best damage a few SU25s. There are hundreds more that can replace it.

Let's not try to hit the plane ready to provide nuclear response in an 15 minute wheels up posture. (Sitting on or near the runway warmed up)

But you're a Democrat. It's your fault.

30k dead Russians at best so far v 120+ dead Ukrainian troops.

Like I have said from day 1, we are trying hurt Russia, not save democracy and freedom. If a million Ukrainians get blown to bits, so be it. As Lindsay Graham said, we will fight "to the last Ukrainian." How magnanimous for him to offer other people the opportunity to fight until they are all gone
right, which is why nato was so strongly opposed to russias invasion of georgia and diplomatically forced them into being meatshields in order to diminish russias military capabilities. Also the reason why nato did that in syria as well...

but wait... none of that actually fuking happened.

its almost like nato has its own reasons for opposing russias invasion of ukraine so strongly.... what a crazy thought right?

It's the joint chiefs estimate of Russian cumulative casualties of 100k which oddly matches Russian MOD reports. It assumes worst case of a 1 kia per 2 injuries. Deaths are probably lower with a 1:5 depending on their poverty equipment

It's the EU council statement on Ukraine Army deaths.

There are dozens of sources but feel free to watch the video of each giving the figures.

Hardly. Your military was 800k at the jump. Equipment and reserves should be suffering assuming US personal equipment has kept a low injury rate. My initial estimates were off by 15k or so and was unaware body armor etc made it quickly.

However you are still mobilizing pretty consistently. I'd venture to say you have a high number of brain and severed limb injury count.

If you're not part of an important family, you should avoid the public at all costs. After Bakhmut and a few other smaller strongholds in the east, they are headed west to take the eastern part of Keiv up to the Dnieper.

My entire assumption is geographic capture as the river being the divider. I may be wrong but I think it's their goal.

Id really like to study this war after its concluded and verified information is made available.

Mostly id like to know why during the initial phases of invasion the rus airforce and navy werent able to overwhelm ukraines skies and air defence. Logically id think this would be done before any infantry rolls in or airborne are sent in.

The americans during desert storm did stealth bomber runs to disable tracking systems and defence systems then followed up with fighters to launch devastating air strikes which pretty much ruined any chances iraq had at holding on when the ground invasion happened.

Why couldnt or why didnt they do what the americans did?

I have an assumption from what I can piece together.

Initially they did. Then they got their ass handed to them by manpads after they were flooded in. This made a later attempt at striking larger systems cost ineffective and probably why you'll largely see lancet and Shahad drones attacking them. Why pump cruise missiles at something you'd not gain superiority with anyway?

I think you're seeing how warfare between world powers would actually shake out as opposed to what we normally see when we seek out lesser opponents.

World powers head to head can launch missiles at one another from afar. As much as it pains me to realize it, Russia has invested much of their budget into air defense. Russia is currently in the realm of hypersonic AD, making a head to head challenge with them limited.

Stealth technology does little but mask long range at this point. There is no overhead with modern Russian air defense. Russia is scared of their old systems at this point that hadn't had a firmware update since 2012.

I'm glad to see us taking steps in the right direction. We are a decade behind on missile technology.

Russia has in a sense forced combat back to the ground. We'd still dominate but at the expense of many US troops lives.

Also it brings to light the need for agile CAS. A10 being the mantle along with apache

I'll pay attention to lavrov and putin in the meantime.

Lavrov actually listed an ultimatum today. That's the one that should be paid attention to along with putins speech.

In what position is Lavrov to make ultimatums when Russia controls less land than they did months ago? Are you serious? And then you talk shiet for Ukraine refusing to even hold talks?

https://www.yahoo.com/now/wrapup-1-m...013857949.html

KYIV, Dec 27 (Reuters) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov gave Ukraine an ultimatum on Monday to fulfil Moscow's proposals, including surrendering territory Russia controls, or its army would decide the issue, a day after President Vladimir Putin said he was open to talks.

its literally a no go on the first fukking sentence, lmao. Russians are so fukking stupid it makes my brain hurt.

Russia just LOST the use of the main airbase they have been using to run bombers on Ukraine infrastructure, and then they make stupid comments like this. ON THE SAME DAY.

From what i recall they didnt at all. From the first day of the war it was a russian ground invasion, as opposed to desert storm and even the balkans which saw the US launch an aerial campaign before any ground invasion (Yugoslavian surrender before ground invasion took place). Im also fairly certain that iraq2 and afghanistan followed similar strategies.

Logically, i would think this method would have to be the way to go for any war.

Also idk if i believe that the main reason why russia was unable to achieve aerial supremacy over ukrainian skies was due to manpads… the iraqi military fielded much much more sams than the ukrainians had/have and yet the US was still able to launch the most effective air campaign probably ever during desert storm.

Another question i have is why during those initial phases did the russians not seemingly provide infantry support for their columns of vehicles leaving them exposed to attack from handhelds? Very odd.

Intelligence. Russia thought they had infiltrated Ukranian politicians and in turn the Ukranian military. They were fed false information on a multitude of situations. They were caught with their pants down, then you add on the fact they just don't have intelligence coming in like the US does and the reality is they just don't have the means to do what the US did in Iraq. Hence a year into this war and not only does Russia not control the fukking skys, they are getting their main airfields hit with drones hundreds of miles into RUSSIAN TERRITORY. The ONLY answer for shiet like that to happen is INTELLIGENCE, it seems like they almost have zero and don't even know where to look.

Drones have made the frontlines scary AF. And Ukraine has taken the usage of them to insane heights.

Now the drones don't even need to drop a bomb on you, just in a general area and detonate in the air to kill you with shrapnel. Fuk all that mayne.

Losing use of an airbase, based on a single projectile carrying at best a 500kg payload? I don't think so.

Whether you want to accept it or not Ukraine is an underdog. Russia has been moving massive amounts of troops and equipment forward. I'd venture to say you have 600k troops headed to Ukraine about to enter the fight.

Russia has played a tight formation defensively tucked behind artillery. The potential for intensity is rising and Ukrainian forces know it. It may already be too late to be frank. There are less than 200k combat effective troops remaining in Ukraine. 400k combat effective troops are entering the fight in addition to what is there.

Once the regimental structures are set I presume higher intensity which may already be happening some places along the line.
