Singapore is clean AF because you'll get charged for spitting gum on the ground.... which is how it should be IMO. In NYC, you can steal and do plenty of other BS without getting in serious trouble. Most likely won't get caught FFS

Historically, it was arguably the greatest city in the world. Love that capitalist mogging. Can't really comment on its current state as only visited once a decade ago on a short trip to Madison Square Garden.

Singapore is one of the greatest cities on Earth .... Just lmfao at comparing some third world chithole like American cities or NYC to the grandeur, advancement and cleanliness of Singapore.
Makes me lol when muricans keep thinking they have nice cities when most of Asia is mogging them.
brb can walk the streets of singapore at 2am holding a fat wad of cash, wearing expensive jewelry and nobody will bat an eye or try to mug you.

I've lived in NYC for the majority of my life (25+ years). It is dirty, expensive, overcrowded. I wouldn't advise you to live here. But if you're a tourist, just stick to midtown NYC, around Times Square and Central Park. Things aren't bad there.

Outside of the tri state you can’t get good bagels. And the pizza in 98% of places outside the tri state isn’t edible

I'd say Vienna was the best city I've been to so far.
I've never had any issues in NYC, but it's definitely dirty and overcrowded, and there are lots of parts I certainly wouldn't walk around in at night.
I know a couple people in Japan. From what I hear, the social cohesion of those cities is the GOAT. Literally leave your wallet full of cash on a park bench and come back the next day to find it still there or turned in at the nearest police station. It's impressive what a relatively homogeneous population can do for you.

I've never understood how that city has so much money and is still so gross. Everything there, including most of the people, seem to covered in a layer of grime. You can see this weird sheen on people's skin. Ded fukn srs
NYC is more like a factory than a city. It smells horrific. By far the worst smelling place I've ever been in my life. The other major issue is the amount of crazy people accosting you. The homeless are very aggressive probably because they know nobody is packing heat
The pizza is out of this world good and salaries are super high so they have that going for them

Grew up 10 miles north of the city, so I used to go there all the time. I absolutely loved it in the early 2000's, spending weekends there, ended up working there for a bit too in construction management. The city life isn't for everyone, that's for sure. But I loved being able to visit the city and then head back to the burbs.
Nowadays though? Lmao you'd have to be higher than giraffe nuts to get me in there. Which sucks too because I love Broadway plays.

I used to work at a call center job like a decade ago that took customer calls from around the country.
Without fail, customers calling from NYC were consistently among the rudest, most foul pricks we had to deal with. NYC clowns think the entire world revolves around their filthy city.

Also there’s so many pizzerias here. It’s hyper competitive. You can open up a pizzeria in Iowa and it’ll do well no matter what. You open up one in Brooklyn and you gotta be putting out world class pizzeria or you’re fukked

LOL all of the information and stories available to you on the internet and you come up with 'not what I expected' and mentioned issues that have virtually always been an issue for NYC, especially the last few years? Mind blown. Whatever glamour they show in the movies only exists if you're an elitist or very very rich. It's like being fooled into thinking your average American suburb looks like the Hamptons. Majority or low to middle class housing or section D apartment blocks or complexes. Now if I reverse visited Europe (I have before), I would imagine most cities and towns looking exactly what I see in the movies and on other places. Which it does. Hollywood has disillusioned the perception of what the actual America looks like.
