I met a kid when I was working in prison who had serious charges for child porn.
He had been secretly molested by some kid who was a neighbor for years and so he was trained to respond to such images.
He got arrested after using a torrent to download porn that was actually a government trap. So, as soon as he downloaded it the cops were alerted.
In this story, it sounds like this kid was part of some massive organization but it's more likely he just downloaded it from the internet.

Every time I hear of stuff like this, I want to know the background of the person. Were they exposed to chemicals in the wombs? Did their frontal lobes get damaged when they were kids ? Were their parents neglectful? Did a relative or family friend expose them to some violent or extreme sexual material as a form of bonding?

If a person is even doing drugs, there's something f@cked up blocking them from enjoying life on its own terms.
You are right about stuff like frontal lobe damage though. That isn't a psychological problem but rather the person has been turned into a criminal robot. If they have that they are basically dead, the old them is dead, and they are a living robot or zombie.

Guy I went to HS with got busted with like 3000 images/videos. They picked out 3 to actually charge him with. He got 10 years probation but repeatedly violated it and ended up getting 3 years in prison.
