Not familiar with the Weinstein Bros, but I appreciate a lot of the perspective SH and JP have with respect to the concepts they discuss. Not all of it, but a lot of it.

I am curious what you believe Harris has lied about. Never heard anyone make that claim against him.

His book on lying, literally title “Lying”, is one of my favorites of his. Not number one, but up there.

When he speaks physics he seems more coherent if you understand the jargon. When he talks about basic chit he makes his points something you have to decipher

He had regret about voting for Biden. But he doesn't believe in free will, so based on that stance, he shouldn't regret it because he had no choice. He's an idiot for voting for Biden and for regretting it since he doesn't believe in free will

I used to listen to people like Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, etc. Back in like 2008 - 2011.

At some point, you realize that while they do offer some interesting perspectives at times, that chit just gets old eventually. brb listening to a bunch of self-proclaimed intellectuals circle jerk around ideas that always come back to their hatred of religion. It's like, we get it, they hate religion... how many hours of my life am I supposed to spend listening to them keep repeating themselves about it? And it ALWAYS circles back to the youtube style atheism bullchit of the late 2000's/early 2010's, which I was balls deep in myself at the time too. Like I said, it gets old hearing what amounts to "I'm qn atheist so that makes me of superior intelligence, the rest of you are just dum-dums!" all the time.

Imo, you can lump the self-help guys like Jordan Peterson in with them for the most part, too. Long-winded bags that spew 10 minutes of hot air pie in the sky bs for every 1 minute of legitimately quality dialogue. It's like Tony Robbins from the 90's, but somehow people just forget how all these goobers wind up preaching a lot of very similar chit, but with their own twists and style added.

Yes. It's grifting 101. ACTUAL grifting. They need the idea of being cancelled to represent them because it is what gets support and money. We saw this with Tim Pool and Gavin Mccinnes doing fake swatting tactics.
