Yep. We were always closer to fascism. That's why the Chinese call the Korean War the "War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea". After being liberated, Korea was occupied by Russian and American forces. The South was administered by the US government, and the North was communist. In the South, we tried to nation build with zero underdtanding of the culture, and we basically gave amnesty to the Japanese administrators who had committed atrocities there. The people there were made to work with Japanese and American companies, and when they tried to unionize and have labor strikes, we authorized the regional govt to shoot protesters. The situation decayed and eventually both the US and the USSR tried to leave and create an autonomous Korea. But it was horribly unstable and the 38th parallel was just a line we drew in the sand. Eventually between 1948 and 1950, insurgencies were waged by the communists against the Rhee government, who was a tyrant and the Korean equivalent of a nazi. Eventually, it erupted into a violent war, and the North was winning.

The North had all but won the war, and then we decided fuk commies and bombed them back to the stone age. One in 5 Koreans died. Every major city was reduced to rubble. American soldiers were so horrified by what they were doing that they were defecting and committing suicide. The Chinese mustered their might and came to aid the Koreans in a heroic effort. It was against all odds. People were being slaughtered horribly. In the end, they stood against us. We were on the side of fascist ultranationalists and tyrants. We were the bad guys of the Korean war.

And while South Korea is a prosperous democracy today, and hawks point to it as evidence of their grand vision for the future, the truth is that what we supported at the time was an ultranationalist dictator who brutally suppressed the masses fighting for workers' rights.

We have been the baddies for a long time. And while our systems protect individual liberty in ways the commies didn't, we have done terrible things in the name of "freedom" that ought never have been done. The core essence of communist vision is compatible and in line with the American ideals of equality and rights. Had we been more understanding, we could have come to the synthesis we see today in parts of Europe, where market economics and capitalism still hold, but that vision of respected workers' rights and public welfare are attained as well. We could have gotten there without the horror and misery.

The entire cold war was a mistake. And had cooler heads just fuking talked to each other and not behaved like fuking animals, millions might have survived and the collective trauma of entire civilizations could have been spared.

While we played the main role in defeating Japan, we can't discount the Chinese people's incredible sacrifice standing against them, nor can we ignore the Russian role in closing out the war and putting an end to it.

And when you really understand WW2, you will understand why what we are doing in Ukraine is a disgrace and betrayal.

His post was about RUSSIA buying, not the US/Ukraine, total different.

Would actually be a good outcome imo, would allow bith sides to "save face" somewhat.

It won't change the fundamental issue of Ukraine being armed and hostile and nazified on their border. They can't expect any peace. Ceasefires failed like 30 times. Minsk 2 was never implemented.

I don't believe there is a solution to this conflict. I think they are just going to duke it out for a long time until the nationalism and will to fight breaks and Ukraine's arms are exhausted.

Only solution at this point is Ukraine to surrender and join Russian Federation region by region. Entire Ukraine

Any other solution is just a short truce before the bigger world war.

Ukraine has proven it does not deserve to be a state, period.

To be honest a lot of the Russian losses was from their own garbage tactics. But you'd have to be pretty stupid (retard crew IQ level) to not think all the Germans that died in the Eastern Front didn't pretty much decide the fate of the war. So I think it's safe to say that the Soviets did the heavy lifting.

The irony, Serbia is a failed state. When do you give your land to your neighbours?

Doesn't hurt to cover all of your bases though, and if they are going to invest time into soldiers getting hand to hand training then...there are FAR better options, especially in Russia of all places.

Avdiivka almost encircled just like Bakhmut

If the nazis lose Avdiivka they won't be able to shell schools in donetsk anymore. Big L for them.

Occupiers retreat from Nova Kakhovka, – General Staff

https://www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2023/03/23/7394796/

As of 22 March, "all units of the occupying army deployed in the settlement of Nova Kakhovka in Kherson Oblast have left the town.

If this special tactical retreat operation is true, this would mean ukraine forces can cross Dniepro river and could march towards Melitopol, cutting off Crimea from occupied east ukraine regions.
