The cost I pay to live in a high cost of living city but I do live on the top floor in a nice apartment in a good location and with a great view. This rent includes monthly parking fee and all utility charges except electricity.
How much do you other rentcels pay?

Have a 4 bedroom massive house with a backyard and two car garage, about 3100 square feet and a theatre projection room. Pay $3200 split with my girlfriend. In the suburbs, but in my city you're only a 20-30 minute drive from downtown pretty much anywhere.
Same house if I purchased it would be over a million and cost twice as much per month easily.

$925, I pay for heat and electricity in Wyoming. It's a nice two bedroom in a 4plex, top floor. Most decent/good houses are in the $240k range and even with 20% down a mortgage would be about $1200-1400 with current interest rates.
with overtime kicking in I'm making over 80k a year and I'm bumping my 401k installments to 15% of my income, I'm going to keep renting, let the misc hate lol.

My rent is $520 a month srs, all bills included. I share with my GF
Place is nice, has a walk in closet, nice AF bathroom. Right beside a 24 hour station that allows access to anywhere in the city. I got lucky with this

$3150 but $1000 tip included
Twice a week I sit down and write a letter to my landlord. My thoughts spill out from pen to paper as I find the proper words to express my gratitude for his hustle. This is the man who sacrificed it all, he purchased land, finds it in his heart to maintain it according to proper code, and he lets me live on it.
In fact I think I’m going to stop by his place tonight and leave an extra $500 in his mailbox

Daily reminder to be grateful to your landlords for providing you with a place to stay at the location that allows for you to live the lifestyle that you wanted. Tips and taking care of the property like your own are greatly appreciated.
That said my annual property tax and insurance bills are eyewatering.

When I was a kid, I loved playing Monopoly. I would collect as much cash as possible but never buy a property. I'd let my friends or family collect those. When I landed on their space, I'd gladly pay rent. I would add 20% on top in most cases for their troubles. I had too much respect for them as landlords. I would never take that joy away from them.
