When I got arrested almost 20 years ago, I was handcuffed, in private holding cell and they took my belt and shoelaces. I don't care about the secret service or Trump's safety, treat him the same way I was treated. Mugshot and all.

I went to trial and was found not guilty on a misdemeanor construction contract law.
Didn't you also get a DUI?

And if you truly were arrested for a misdemeanor, than you would have been out in a couple of hrs.

No, never had a dui. Only driving on suspended license and the construction contract. I was put in a van driven to court house, stood outside while the judge was inside behind plexiglass. Judge released me on my own recog and I had to figure out how to get home. That was before uber. It lasted about 3 hours from arrest to release around midnight. The driving on suspended license was nolle pros.

Trump should have been handcuffed, holding cell etc like I was.

It was a small company called "My Name Construction LLC". Foreman/business partner got into drugs and needed money so he wrote a contract on a customer's property, took the deposit and ran. In most states that would be a civil suit but in Maryland that's a criminal penalty called failure to perform contract. I was found not guilty because I didn't "knowingly" enter into the contract which the law required. I was like 20 or 22. I had the charge expunged.

He will plead out for a lesser sentence and it would make sense if the case doesn't get thrown out. But lets say something sticks, he'll settle.

1. Obviously a lighter sentence.

2. It will feed into his ego and allow him to save face so he can spin it anyway he wants for his supporters.

Key fact to #TrumpIndicment -- ALL charges are for conduct while Trump was President. The Constitution only authorizes indictment or trial for such conduct AFTER both impeachment and conviction by the Senate. Trump was already Acquitted by the Senate. Unconstitutional indictment!
