Just remember that a kunt hair is usually thought of in terms of distance, but it's often more about the velocity and acceleration required to get there.

Nah if you are building tract homes they don’t measure anything. And if you buy a new square make sure to run over it and smash it with a sledge hammer so its at least 15 degrees off to match the rest of the shoddy work contractors do.

Would build walls - layout the wall on the floor - mark where the studs needed to go, then nail them to the bottom and top plate

Toss sheets of plywood onto the roof and nail them down

Put up all the hangers which was a bitch

Would use the skill saw to prepare different cuts for the actual framer - he used to chuck them at my head if I was like a quarter of an inch off lmao

Basically you do all the easy stuff and just make the framers job easier so he can worry about reading prints and making sure everything needs to go where it’s supposed to

If you really want to dazzle your boss, show up with a basic leather tool belt, framing hammer, speed square, construction pencil, utility knife, ear plugs, eye protection and a pair of plier cable cutters to pull out nails, in addition to your tape measure.

Yeah I'd show up with toolbelt, tape, speed square, hammer, knife, pencils, nail puller and chalk line. 19 diamond is used for floor joists. DeWalt has the best framing tapes don't even bother with other brands. I framed for just over 2 years

Edit: Damn beat me ^

Edit #2: **** I meant Stanley I don't know why I said DeWalt. Probably cause they're same company but DeWalt are **** tapes. Stanley fatmaxis goat

Otherwise they will give you one of these on site and you will look like a total choad.

edit :

Beat me to it. But I always preferred a cats paw to cutting pliers for nail removal on the framing side of things.
These are the bomb nail pullers if you use the rounded head as a fulcrum. Super strong, but small and light weight.

These days they put a laser measuring stick on one corner of the slab measure it out and all the framing comes mostly pre-built on the back of a truck. You are just standing up walls and fixing errors. Different if you are involved with total custom housing but regular builder grade tract homes don't do stick by stick framing anymore.
