I just watched one of his music videos. Beautiful, talented human. no childhood whatsoever. Seemed like they worked him to death.

I know conservatives in general like a kind of balls to the wall, "no one cares, work harder" false positivity. Be Grateful, blah blah. Also, there's much talk about soul death being fake or contrived, as well as dishonorable.
But yall, please, if you see someone really sad, please just give them a smile. Sometimes it can save a life.
May his memory bring others the comfort that no one gave him. I wish i could have caught him before he fell.

i read somewhere a long time ago that there's all sorts of shady stuff going on behind the scenes. like the execs at the labels would pimp out both men and women who were starting at the bottom. dude probably had enough.

They don't necessarily pimp them out. That's just what the record labels do though, they make money off the fame of these stars. Fame is the cause for depression in these cases.

He was probably gay and found it hard to come out in Korea's conservative culture. There was a male Kpop star several years ago who also committed suicide that a lot of people thought was gay.

I don't follow the boy bands as they are gay AF, but the girl bands I like, they are just better.

kpop culture is probably the most toxic corner of the social realm and the corruption with the agencies is like corporate america in the 80's.

to even make it in kpop these young kids need to start training around age 5 , its like Disney kids 1000X.

KPop idols literally have to have a perfect image, if you're seen smoking weed or mess up then your career is over

Putting on a fake appearance all the time is prob a big reason so many of them off themselves, its constant pressure

Yeah. Jonghyun. I don't know what it is about Shinee but I have a feeling 3 of them are gay including Taemin. Lulz. Jonghyun always had close relationships with female Kpop idols. But not the playboy type of close. It was that "Yeah, that nicca, gay." type of close relationship. Key is the other. Just the sense I get.
