No. Like someone before said, it was suicide by cop. The guy asked for it.

Obviously i don't think what the mentally ill guy did was perfectly reasonable or reasonable in the slightest, mentally ill people don't tend to have good reasoning skills. She did back away but she wasn't going to back off and wait for back up, i believe if she had of actually backed away to leave the situation, rather than backed away with her gun pointed with no intention to leave the situation, the guy would still be alive. I do not blame her for shooting, i blame her for not waiting for male backup before engaging.

As i've already said, the officer could have been killed if she didn't shoot however from his body language, it was not suicide by cop it was simply a deranged man acting deranged. Also from his body language i do not believe he would have actually hurt her. As i say, i don't blame her for shooting but it could have been avoided.

Any handgun round would probably do the same as you saw in that video. Fast moving rifle rounds tend to have massive cavitation once they enter the body and it shocks the nervous system, but slow moving pistol rounds, unless placed to the upper spine or head, will just set a timer until the person bleeds out internally. During that time they can fight, run, or shoot back so it isn’t like the movies where someone gets shot and they instantly die. There’s a case I read where a guy was shot with a 12 gauge shotgun in the ribs with a slug, obliterating his heart and lungs, then exiting in his armpit area. He ran out of the apartment and up a flight of stairs before collapsing. Adrenaline is a helluva drug.
