I'll let you off the hook if you just say, "wow, I never actually read that trial before I injected myself... I was just listening to what trump was telling me to do."

Oh you'll let me? Wow I'll be let. What would I ever do if this guy from the gay Indian bodybuilding forum thought my decision to follow evidence based medicine was wrong?

Bivalent booster comes out - Ok, this one makes sense, but it did come about one year too late after the whole "we are going with mRNA as it is very easy to modify to the current strain"

And now, with the CDC considering anyone without the primary series, but a single shot of the bivalent "booster" to be up to date...

I can't wait what the mental gymnastics are for why the original primary series consisted of 2 shots, and why it was considered to be not up to date to only have primary series before Omicron hit.
looking at Pfizer and Moderna's quarterly earnings reports, I think I see where the science is going.

The national public health emergency around Covid-19 *********officially ends in the United States on Thursday, May 11******, more than three years after it was first declared. "More educated"

I'd like to know how. Dude lives in a universe where it is inconceivable that someone might know more than him about anything. Everything he has posted has no grounding in ****ing reality whatsoever. Fact: I have more formalized education than this clown. Does this make me "more educated"? That's debatable; let's just put that off to the side for now as I certainly won't be the sort of person to claim a college degree makes you educated as I am intimately aware of the types of morons who somehow graduate. Using the classical idea of education, then I am infinitely more educated simply because I follow the Socratic premise that knowing you are incapable of knowing gives you wisdom. I would never claim to actually "know" anything in the Descartian meaning about the physical universe; like anyone else I can only engage in observation and induction. Retardboy here, however, just assumes whatever he thinks is right, and thus is dumb as **** because of it. He regurgitates stupidity simply because of who spouted it. Classic case of Marxist programming. "A man's gotta know his limitations." I know mine, Retardboy thinks he has none, which means he is functionally useless to society and a waste of space.
Interesting posts throughout the thread man. It's pretty tough to want to believe the "experts" when it seems like they're only "experts" because they've fit their studies to what Pfizer or some other large pharma company wants to see. These guys are just playing the game of life and want to get ahead and live comfortably. Why bother putting your license and neck on the line and go against the narrative - just give them what they want and be rich/live your own happy life? I don't really see it as a "conspiracy" as much as the individual just wanting to live their own happy life and not bother challenging anything. They have an opportunity to set up their entire family and future generations. Obviously there are some who question it and we see what happens to those people, but most are just "selfish" and want to get ahead; who can blame them?

Its not hard to find what has happened to other scientists/doctors who have gone against other drugs out there or tried to challenge claims (statins would be one example i guess), and the fact that so many media companies around the world (not just the US) are funded by these large pharma companies doesn't help at all in believing this science. I think a lot of time the "evidence based" science can help lead you in the right direction in life (I'm talking lifting related, particularly, but surely some medicine too) but you still have to take real world / "in the trench" experience too and not solely rely on scientific papers that clearly have some bias.

very hard to know what's truly correct.

It was when California shut down a chit ton of businesses but kept Hollywood going because shooting movies is "essential".

Wear a mask, but it's safe to take it off while eating or chewing gum.

The mask idea was confusing a lot of liberals. At some points they wore it to "protect others" and other times they were wearing it to "protect themselves". People still wear them to this day and who knows what they think.

Listen, just because YOU cant fathom how to run worldwide conspiracies doesnt mean THEY cant. Its easy to compartmentalize information. And just look at the freemasons and how many professions, governments, and institutions they have infiltrated

Yeah. Otherwise why would you not get this after I linked you a clear explanation? And why would you keep ignoring statistics and act like that difference is statistically significant?

Why would you expect it in the RCT? Actually read what I fuking linked. Otherwise, like I said, it's not worth engaging with you because you aren't bothering to learn in good faith at all.

IIrc, I got it before it was widely available.

And, while I do think some people very much overstate or inflate the dangers of the vaccines, I see zero benefit in getting them here and now. I've gotten covid a second time, this go-around around 18m after the first time - it was different and also basically nothing, the only annoying thing being that I tested posstive after feeling great for days and days, including over xmas.

*If* the vaccines potentially kept me from getting it again, you might have a point. I do not fear the symptoms, both times it was below a common cold, but it did suck missing xmas, as I was contagious and did not want to potentially infect old family members (or anyone else).

... but these vaccines do not keep me from getting it. They only reduce symptoms. Honestly - that is anegativefor me. My symptoms were so mild I almost did not know I was sick, what if they were lower? I might go out and unknowingly infect people.

For me AND for society, my personally getting the vaccines are a major negative.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

If you've already had covid twice, the benefit will be pretty marginal.Your doc will tell you the same. The whole point is to get vaccinated before you get exposed. That said, again, if it has been like a year since you had covid, the bivalent vaccine would help you against newer variants. But at this point, even that one is pretty ineffective.

The core point is not getting vaccinated was fuking stupid. We had a lot of unnecessary deaths and societal burden of disease due to antivaxxer fuktards. I blame Ioannidis, Vinay Prasad, and the Great Barrington fuktards. Next pandemic, we will be so utterly fuked because of the public's antiscience fervor.

We wouldn't be in this position if the medical community didn't completely and utterly destroy the public's trust over the past couple of years.
