Explain John Wick

Just seen the first one & well into the second film now-

1. How he is able to get right back up seconds after getting hit by speeding vehicles crashing into him, with no ill effects?

2. How are other people able to shoot him, yet other than bleeding he seems to have no ill effects & then kills most of them pretty easily?

3. Why do civilians pay no attention to a man running/staggering around covered in blood & holding onto knife/bullet wounds & carrying a gun? Why do they pay no attention when he is being attacked & attacking/killing other people right in front of them?

4. Why do the cops never get called/turn up at these massacres?

1) He's John Wick.

2) He's John Wick.

3) He's John Wick.

4) Cops turned up in first movie. They saw it was him, and left him to it because: He's John Wick.

All the head shots are pretty unbelievable as well.

The 3rd one was like watching a video game, just garbage.

I like Keanu but his "acting" leaves a lot to be desired.

There was a cop who he clearly knows that turned up at his house twice-but I am thinking more on the streets, in the subway etc.

It did go from a sort of James Bond Commando level of tactical gunfighting to straight up video game level action, but it's still very enjoyable to watch imo. If I wanted to watch a movie for the plot development, I probably would choose something besides John Wick.

The new one was pretty bad. Completely bullet proof business suits while guys in tactical dragon armor drop like flies all around him.

I've still only ever seen the first one. Never had any interest in the sequels, because it seems guaranteed to be nothing but extended continuations of the first. I mean, Rush Hour 3 had a more interesting plot than John Wick 1...

Iโ€™ve read where the producers have described it as โ€œthe John Wick universeโ€ which would explain why gunfights can take place in the street and people just continue to go about their business (and no women screaming like banshees).

The scene in movie number 4 where the gunfight was taking place in a club, and people continued to dance without paying attention to it is a pretty good hint of this.

The first movie was alright.

They should have left it at that.

The second movie things got stupid. And by the third movie it was so monotonous I fell asleep.

I haven't seen John Wick, but what he's describing isn't fiction. Fiction is just when the characters don't exist in the real world and/or the scenarios didn't really happen.

He's describing a world where the rules of nature and the laws of physics don't apply. That's supernatural or fantastical, not plain fiction.

First movie made 100 million.

Second movie made 200 million.

Third movie made 300 million.

Fourth movie made 400 million.

At this rate we have the next fast and furious franchise. Yeah, all the movies are retarded, but more and more people keep coming to see them so it will never end.

There are homeless people in this-but they are also assassins. Funniest bit in 2 is at the subway where he shoots two would be assassins while people are boarding the train & is jabbing a knife into one of their necks-all while people pay no attention to somebody firing bullets at two guys just few yards at from them.

Then when he has a knife fight on the train-nobody in the carriage even moves into the next carriage, they just sit there quietly looking a bit nervous & then get off when they stop at the next station.

Well yes, but same with James Bond, Commando & pretty much every good guy vs 500 bad guys film. But then again he doesn't seem to be especially damaged by bullets-he just groans a bit & staggers around while walking at a slightly reduced speed. At the start of the second one he gets run over by a taxi going at 60 mph in a mafia workshop & just gets up three seconds later as if nothing has happened & kicks all their asses.

Kind of like how The Empire would have crushed the Rebellion and Jedi in Star Wars way before the timeline of the original trilogy if storm troopers shot with even below average marksmenship instead of being the complete clowns that they are that can't hit the broad sign of a barn with a football from 10 yards away.

Spaceballs did an underrated parody of the storm troopers having awful aim thing. In the scene where they are running back to their Winnebago ship to escape the bad guys. The main chick gets shot in their hair (harmlessly), stops to bitch about it for 5 seconds, then lights them all up with ease. All while they just stand there getting fired at and repeatedly missed by the bad guys.

Lol at dudes saying John Wick started getting ridiculous on the 4th movie. It was over the top video game nonsense from the first movie, basically right out of the gate.

John Wick is actually a revenant who came back to avenge the death of his dog.

Yeah it's almost like these are the true sequels to the matrix.

Without all the tranny angst, pseudo-science, and fake religion BS.

Neo is just running through the matrix capping people left and right.

The first movie the stunts were somewhat believable but this most recent one it jumped the shark a lot.

He falls out of a three story building onto a van and then gets up and runs away. And that's after a scene where he gets hit head on by multiple vehicles and gets up to continue shooting. Then falls down about thirty flights of stairs over and over again but keeps on going up. Okay, so he's obviously superhuman but that's a bit much.

Most of the places he kills people in are mafia/assassin gatherings so maybe the police just don't bother

James Bond rule-always capture the thorn in your side, even if they have massacred hundreds of your goons, tie them up, beat them up a bit & subject them to a slow lingering death scenario where they can escape & kill you later.
