forgiveable misinterpretation on your part. we are talking about being able to detect two to three frames of the video; not easy.

Buoy wouldn't have saved him unless God himself pulled that buoy up. He was dead as soon as he made the "splash!" into the water initially.

Not only was he being chased by a giant shark he swam headfirst into another one. Best to watch original video (turn sound off and pay attention) but you defo see two gray things come at him almost simultaneously from both directions.

Teens have bad judgment and don't always properly contextualize risk. What he did was extraordinarily stupid, but teens do stupid risky things all the time and it usually doesn't end with death.

It doesn't have any real bearing on whether he was or wasn't a good guy. So I think it's a bit harsh to say he did the world a favor. In all likelihood, he was just a regular 18 year old zoomer.
