Unfortunately this describes a lot of women (black/white/latina) today especially if you live near a major city. They are fat, tattoos everywhere, crocs and leggings, hoodies, trashy hair color, trashy makeup.

They're coddled and raised with kid glloves their entire lives and when they finally get married off and realize they have to get a job (because the economy is so chitty), they go into the work force as hopeless and pathetically useless as any human Ive ever had to deal with. People often don't notice this but its the Indian men that are encouraged to be the overachievers. Indian women receive an education, but its in simpler degrees...like in the humanities. The women are not encouraged to go into Professional fields of education because their sole role in life is to be a barefoot and perpetually pregnant brood mare in the kitchen making curry dishes and tika-masala all day. When they have to go into the work force, They are absolutely useless, and heaven forbid its a job that requires any manual labor. Of the 5 Indian women I've worked with over the years (in Yuba City, one of the densest indian populated cities in California) They've all been either perpetually sick with "something" so they need help completing tasks, perpetually injured (knee/lowerback etc) or have some special permission not to perform a certain task because it would inflame their "xyz" condition...or, they just get pregnant and they're out for a year and a half because of daily morning sickess and the maternity leave, BUT we can't replace her because she's still on payroll.

The bllack girls i've worked with have been a mixed bag. At least they give us an excuse to fire them. They either don't show up to work at all, or constantly show up late and get fired, or they're a by-the-book stickler "girl-boss" that tries to micromanage everyone and take over the entire establishment even though she's in an entry level position.

Dude wtf are you on. Theres an area with black folks entertainment like jazz near my area and I bike through there and they are always dressed nicely and presentable. It really depends on the area.

Its like choosing produce at a grocery store. From a distance you see a display full of apples. Upon inspection, you realize some have soft overly ripened spots and some may have gross webbing around the opening of the core signifying there may be a worm inside. Thats why you don't just pick up the first apple you see.

It also doesn't mean ALL the apples on the display stand are bad. To find a good one you have to push the others aside, and more often than not, you're going to be setting aside a lot of bad looking apples before you get to the ones that are worth taking home...the same applies to women.

The alternative is just shaving their head bald or sporting a mens style short hair-cut which is not socially acceptable for women in the west, but its what Africans from Africa do.

What usually causes them to go down the path of weaves is because when are young they chemically destroy their hair straightening it every 3 months. Years of doing that just destroys their natural hair. It just stops growing and becomes very brittle and hard to style so they result to weaves. Not sure where the idea of the ridiculous colors came from but it is the reasoning for the weaves.

Another miscer was talking about how fake it looks, well, there are different tiers of weaves. Some are cheapy $10 weaves that looks like crappy baby-doll hair, but some can cost as much as $500 and woven from actual horse hair or human hair donated through locs-of-loove.

Luckily my mom and my sister never got into that trend, but they also took FOREVER to get ready for any event (church/work/social gathering) because of all the maintenance they have to do to maintain their natural hair. When my mom worked she would have to wake up as early as 5am for a 10 minute commute to an 8:30am start time at her job because she spent an hour and a half on her hair.

There was a big stink at an elementary school my sister and I went to growing up. Her hair was deemed a "distraction" and the teacher sent her home. It wasn't some wild colors or crazy style it was just her natural hair as an afro, which is just the way it grows. The teachers argued that she should at least put her hair back in a pony tail, but as an trichology assistant, my mom knew that "ponytails" caused traction-alopecia and didn't want my sister tying her hair up like that.

We changed districts. The Superintendent was bllack at the new district, so they were more understanding.
