The box also never says it's rendering games at 8K. Yes, it's a bit misleading to ignorant consumers (on both consoles). But technically they can both output an upscaled 8K display signal.

The "8K" just refers to the HDMI 2.1 standard of having 48gbps. But putting HDMI 2.1 on the box means nothing to the average person.

Is it disappointing ? Yes. But resolution never stopped people from enjoying BoTW or ToTK.

My guess is that the engine they are using is just not as optimized for consoles as something like Guerilla's Decime Engine.

One member mentioned that he was fighting the Morbol boss when his PS5 showed a message stating that the console needed to be turned off in order to cool down.

Regardless of whether this is a common problem with those playing the game or its demo, it’s always a good idea to keep your console’s vents, fan and heat sink clean from potential dust that may accumulate over time.
