Charges dropped against SBF

The campaign finance charges where head of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried illegally donated hundreds of millions of dollars to Congress have been dropped. Gee, what a surprise charges that show Congress is dirty have been tossed aside. He still faces fraud charges since those don't involve Congress.

They can't charge him with that crime without breaking U.S. treaty obligations with the Bahamas since the charge wasn't included in his extradition. If we're being honest, it's just not worth pursuing that charge given the circumstances, especially since the heavy charges of fraud, money laundering, etc. are the ones that are going to really sink him anyway.
