This is basically it. Many americans have a hopeless addiction to consumption. Obesity itself specifically causes so many issues that would simply not occur if the person wasn't obese.

The pandemic plunged more than 50 million worldwide into poverty. The death rate from xovid was lol but the external affects had a big impact.

I'm starting to agree with johnnydeep, fuk fat women. 50%+ are now obese or extremely obese. These studies also use BMI, which does not consider gender. They're probably much, much fatter than presented.

1) The homicide rate now is now barely below the all-time highs of decades ago. It started going up a little bit in 2015, and in just 2020 it jumped 29%, then went up again in 2021. Mostly young jogger on young jogger. The net effect was the homicide rate going up 50% between 2014 and 2021, and it's mostly men between their teens to early 30s.

2015: The Michael Brown Effect
2020: The Floyd Effect

2) Despite traffic being way down in 2020-21 automobile deaths went up. Up over 7% from the previous year in 2020, then up more than 10% in 2021 over the previous year. W T F

3) Covid did of course kill people in their 70-90s, but also some obesecels in their 60s and 50s. The vax took out some of the same people too, but of course less than the virus.

4) ODs and suicides. Never forget that 2/3rds of gun deaths are suicides. And yes ODs are out of control, with plenty of them suicides but not classified as such. Hence the nebulous term "deaths of despair." Starting in 2020 the number of people I saw begging for money with cardboard signs at least doubled. It has become the new normal.

I think the government should take full on control of peoples lives, I think they should video and audio record everywhere for one. This would help police eliminate crime completely. I think they should force people to have computers and make them post on an official government forum, within their state and city forum. I think the government should make us keep a diary on our everyday activities, to help us track what we do so we can self improve and also to create accountability and allow alibies for potential suspects in crime. I think the government should aggressively handle obesity and make a program enforces every citizen to stay healthy and fit, enforce everyone go to the gym, enforce bodyweight %. I also think the government should take over housing and apartments, fill all those vacant apartments up with people who need a home. Homelessness is a big issue and it's incredibly hard to get out of it without help. I think all governments should adopt universal basic income, subsidize citizens with housing and food money. Universal basic income would still promote entrepreneurism, everyone gets paid same monthly, money goes towards housing and food, extra money is pocketed to save up to buy things. We could encourage people to work by giving them extra subsidize incentives. We have too big of a population, not enough jobs for everyone and not enough interest in people doing those jobs now.

But this will never happen

You can always move to China, bro. Regulation of food prices by quality of nutrition would help out obesity.

Healthcare spending in the USA accounts for 18% of our GDP....

To put that into perspective, automobiles account for only 3% of our GDP.

As a country, we have higher proportionate healthcare spending than every other 1st world nation, yet our life expectancy is collapsing.

OP is America's cuck. lol you really think the average life expectancy has anything to do with MOST of us? Just b/c teen suicide rate, addiction and black on black murders are bringing it down mean absolutely nothing to the majority of our life expectancy. Even throwing in the fat fuks, which we're only 7% higher than UK in obesity you coping fgt.

That chart means nothing. If anything, it's good that the degens are leaving America earlier rather than later. Of course, you're to stupid to realize this b/c you're so jelly of us. lol

This is true.

If we ban narcan maybe we can knock the life expectancy down to like 72 for a few years, then start over again.

Lack of adequate healthcare is a big one.

Only the top percentiles have essentially unlimited access. We have roughly 20% on Medicaid, 20% on Medicare, 40 million people on ACA [Obamacare] of which 80% are subsidized, then another 2 million who are not able to get Medicaid + are too poor to qualify for a subsidized ACA plan, and 9 million covered by the VA.

IOW around half of citizens have no healthcare coverage/access, or have healthcare which is rationed by the government and these programs have to compete for services against for profit self-pay or private for profit insurance funding which means this half of the population has the least access. Then the other half is down to luck of the draw for at least 30% to 40% [amount of coverage your employer has chosen to provide, quality of that insurance company, local services available in network]. Only the top tier can afford the best insurance and/or the expense of going out of network/paying out of pocket/traveling if needed.

Deaths of despair. People self-destructing one way or another when hope is lost.

And as already covered higher infant morality/maternal mortality, violent crime deaths, car accidents, drug overdoses, early death due to chronic illness related to obesity, poorer quality foods, higher stress, less vacation/sick time/family leave, etc. and so on.

Case in point.."The NCHS reported that white Americans' life expectancy declined by 1.2 years; for Black Americans, that number was 2.9 years". Although they're less than 13%, this doesn't really effect the majority of America on a daily basis, but it skews the numbers. But, black teens killing each other doesn't make my life shorter, or my life less anything. I just don't care.

Every excuse for Americas dwindling life expectancy applies to all the other western nation on an almost equal footing

-immigrants
-"minorities"
-drugs (other western countries appropriate funds into drug treatment programs far better than we do)
-clown world degeneracy (which is more freely expressed in the rest of the western world I might add).
-yes, even Obesity (especially for Australia and the UK who are quickly catching up)

If life expectancy had to be pinpointed on anything it would have to be the rising costs of healthcare. Sure, we'll treat anyone that goes into the ER with a problem, but no one wants to be racked with the bill. Many people forego treatment or try to "elbow grease" a cure with supplements and holistic remedies rather than be seen by a doctor, and sure, some of those remedies may work but they're incredibly mild treatments and take time to see results....time that many people don't have especially if their condition is exacerbated by being obese. They're then brought in by ambulance because what was once a simple cure or procedure turns into a life threatening event because they waited until the absolute last minute to get treatment. Their bodies then get wrecked by the evasive treatment to save their life, they die anyway, and then the family blames the hospital which makes the next generation more fearful of getting treated, but for all the wrong reasons.

We live in a country where sloots continue to get drunk daily well into their 30's. The lack of kids/marriage causes this as they never "have" to settle down. Eventually they pass their prime, then continue to get drunk daily because they're sad, where they die a slow lonely death.

Feminism caused this.

I honestly don't think the US can be the way it was. There's too much cultural/political separation as well as a sharp dichotomy of values. I think the best course of action is partitioning the country.

I agree with this. We are no longer a group, we're more individualized than ever. I often wonder about a great segregation as well. I don't think it will be a bad thing, but I think it could lead to another Civil War eventually. I think about this a lot. You've got states doing reparations, crazy leftist laws and you've got Southern states doing the opposite. You see people leaving those respective states for the "other side" quite often, or at least it's reported.
You are the only problem you will ever have and YOU are the only solution.

That will never happen and if it did we would be in perpetual civil war with one another like in the M.E. particularly over land rights and resources, it would be a mess. If you think things are bad now, they'd be MUCH worse if we were broken up.

there are MANY states that are reliant on one another to survive, and if there is a split along that line, there would be constant strife.
