The mind and body wasn't made to rot away 50 years living a life centered around doing something you hate doing. The waking life of most workers is like 60% centered around work...better absolutely love what you do or face the fact you wasted most of your life.

Who knows, I doubt he even knows. One day he's living off $12k/y, the next its $50k/y, one day he retired young after quitting the rat race, the next day he never had a job, but made his money on ebay, he has multiple properties, but he can't tell you how many because he's afraid of being doxxed. His cousin is a MLB hall of famer who played 14-16 years and made $50 million during that time. His wife loves going to work, she loves the overtime. He goes to the YMCA for free but also pays $38 a month.

We could go all day. I will say though, he is quite consistent in never showing any proof.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

I LOVE how closely you pay attention. Personally I pay zero attention to people that don't rattle me in some way. You're all shook up and I will forever live in you. We both know that to be fact.

Whenever I read one of his posts, Sarah McLachlan's "in the arms of an angel" plays in my head.

I have average memory. The fact that you pretend to think that recalling things that you read a few days before is exceptional, is quite sad. Or maybe you are suffering from dementia, in which case you won't remember this.

You just bragged about how you can eat McDonald's without worrying about how getting diarrhea will affect your week. That's next level cope. I feel like I gotta donate 37 cents a day to you.

Life is like a Disney movie...it has to suck a little in the middle in order to better appreciate the end.

IMO, 20 something is too young to retire if your only goal is to merely exist afterwards.

Looking back, I'm grateful for the suck.

When eddie here gets rustled he starts with saying that anyone who remembers anything from yesterday is infatuated with him. Then he'll move on to saying increasingly gayer and gayer remarks. IDK what the end game is.

I dno OP. I only work for 180 days a year and make enough money that gives me freedom to do whatever I want for the 180 days a year I dont work. Im actually considering renting my house out for the next year while I move to Eastern Europe to pursue a HBB. The only reason I can do this is because of my job and income. I think you just need to find the proper balance in life. I couldn't imagine having no job and 365 days of free time right now. I would need to have a plan and a family/kids/grand kids to fill in my time if I had that much free time. I just couldn't imagine it at this point in my life.

That's basically my life now. I work on average 30 or so hours a week, I don't have a commute, I set my own schedule, I vacation multiple times a year, equaling 6-8 weeks of time off. And I make 6 figures.

You can't just not work. I've done that before, I can last 2 months before I'm going crazy.

Correct. Humans need a drive and purpose and men need to work. Not working gets boring QUICK. OP is a vegetable.

The biggest struggle of working is the monotony in knowing your days are basically planned out for years and years and in most cases your life will never center around something FUN that your just giddy to get back to. For me, I need EVERY, day, week, year being a mystery. I don't want to know what I'll do tomorrow or next week. My plans at the moment is to go to church tomorrow....I know nothing about what lies ahead after that.
