The 2.0 patch is out now right?

I was at the final mission, but still had some side stuff left and didn't begin the final mission. Recommend doing side stuff, or starting over since new update?

What are your thoughts on it? Changes the game completely? Is crafting actually good now? Are those useless BD's useable items now?

Yep it's out now.

If you don't have much memory of what went on and you still have a lot of side quests and gigs (really recommend you to do the gigs too), I recommend starting over.

Haven't delved into crafting yet so I can't say. I also still haven't gotten deep into the new perks and cyberware system, but it seems that the game lean more heavily now on active skills whereas the previous version of the game leaned more towards passive skills

This one you can get early and it's so fun to do


You can also throw enemy bodies to other enemies or just on a hard surface to smash kill them, but that's a high level one. You can hack cars now, etc. There's so many things that are new and I haven't really found anything that I dislike about the changes.

I don't think the BDs are now useable. The consumables, like food and drink, I think are still quite useless, which has always been one of my pet peeves about the game.

Start over. The game is revamped.

And is it me, or does the game look better?? I'm on PS5 with HDR and Ray tracing on. I've gotten used to the 30 FPS. My only gripe is the game seems dark at times.

Yep I said this. I never beat Spiderman, I did beat Miles Morales. I liked both, but when I beat MM I fully realized how empty and hollow the Games are.

That said, I will be buying Spiderman 2. The games formula does manage to bring me back.

It could also be because of DLSS 3.5. Nvidia claims CP77 looks better with DLSS 3.5 than native resolution, and CDPR agrees


They did upgrade Johnny's model though so he now looks much more like Keanu than before, so there's that.

Same here. I was hoping that we could play the BDs that can be found in JigJig Street.
I've not heard any changes on the BDs in 2.0

I don't really find them awful but I can get why they're not for everyone. Even before the release of the base game, when they showed the tutorial BD in a Night City Wire episode I saw many in the live chat saying that it's boring lol

I don't agree with some of the replies in this thread though that they're worth dropping the game over

-You can skip the tutorial BD
-The biggest BD is the one with Yorinobu and if you rush it it'll take you prolly just 5 minutes

After the Yorinobu BD, if I remember right, the biggest BD was the one with The Hunt and oh lawd I can't say I "enjoyed" that BD but it was very impactful and so was that mission. It's one of the best side missions I've been in in gaming. And again, if one just simply detests all manner of BDs, this one is from a side mission so it's skippable. You'll miss out on one of the best side quests in the game though.I don't know about that but what we're sure is that the expansion will add another ending to the main story. I did read a headline to an article though that something about Johnny Silverhand's line was reworked and it makes more sense now but I didn't read the article.nvm my first reply

Third play through and STILL seeing/hearing little details I didn't catch the first two times. Fk, the game is so damn good. Can't wait to see what the new ending options are.

Man I can't wait to replay this game, I'm holding out until I can play the PL DLC. I'll probably play the game 2-3 times of there's different endings and paths to take. By the time I'm done, I'm going to need to restart act 1 of BG3.

Also this game is SO much better with a headset. So much more immersive, I fully understand why they went strictly 1st person.

If any of you are gonna be looking at Phantom Liberty reviews in Youtube rn to help you decide if you're gonna get it, my suggestion is just listening to the audio and don't look at the footages.

It's more clear to me now why CDPR didn't allow reviewers to show their own footages a week before launch because I think they want to keep some stuff a surprise for players.

I saw some scenes in the reviews coming out now that I wish I saw first in the game. If you're very sensitive to spoilers like me, be careful with gameplay footages.

Imo cyberpunk has officially reached the point where it's actually a goated game. Holding grudges because of the bad launch is just doing yourself a disservice and missing a great game. And esp as a PCcel... If you have good hardware, I'm not sure there's a better game to test it on honestly

I did this way back when it came out lol. I paid $20 for it I think, and let it sit for about a year until they patched the game. Now I have it loaded into my PS5 with the free update.

To those who aren't aware, There's a build planner on the CP77 site. It's really helpful and I recommend you experiment on builds on this so that it'll be easier in-game
