^So I guess you already beat it by now. Is the HUD dynamic/completely removable like in Sony games or am I playing this on the QLED? Been playing on that for baldcel gate but I wanna go back in my room on the OLED for something else.

Ehh I didn't really notice the hud, it's dynamic I think. Will confirm later.

Thanks yeah I noticed a TLOU 2 ammo/health thing at the bottom right in previews but I don't know if that comes off out of battle.

Yeah Control was trash and straight up killed Remedy for me. That said, I loved Alan Wake 1/American Nightmaire so I'm still hoping this one is good. Especially since this one goes full survival horror. Interested in hearing some miscers takes.

I have similar thoughts but usability of console still wins for me.

PC is well worth it. It's a different kind of feeling to just throw any game at it and have it running at 60 fps while still looking so good.

PC gaming is in a sad place right now. You can build a PC that has much higher power than the PS5 only to result in a small difference in visuals. This just shows how unoptimized PC ports are compared to console ports. There's no reason a powerful setup with a 3080 should be struggling so hard to run this game. It's getting between 25-40 FPS on high settings at 720p render and that's just during slow scenes walking in a forest. What the fuk.

I only have a 3060 ti in my recent build, expected to swap for a more powerful GPU when there's finally a game I want (was supposed to be Starfield). I just lost interest after my initial hype. I'll probably just get a 5090 for Forbidden West if they don't patch a PS5 Pro mode for it.

Totally understand where you're getting at but sadly it will never happen in the way we want. Devs will only make one standard console port for Series X/PS5 which your console will have to scale up. Your PS5 Super pro won't get all the bells and whistles available on the PC version, devs won't bother. You'll just get a console version running at 300 fps.

Not surprised at all. The required specs were pretty wild.

Maybe I'll get it so I can just run it in the background and have my pc double as a space heater for the winter.

I saw this running on 40-50+ (and even 60) fps and that's not too bad tbh at 1440p, which is what I play at usually... But seems like actual players are having more problems.

You got a 3080? In the vid the guy has almost everything on high though. Assuming no other bottleneck

3080 ti .

So a bit more headroom over the 3080, but I'm still a bit gimped by my CPU and ram .... ryzen 7 3700x / 16gb ram. I mean it's not bad at all perse because it holds up well for most games I've thrown at it.

The only (optimized) game which actually crippled it is Cyberpunks pathtracing... that's a no go on my card. However with dlss / dlaa I'm running psycho rtx with no issues at all.

Optimization is such a huge thing on PC, it's frustrating that devs are just letting people brute force performance with the highest spec cards. Even Metro Exodus with GI RTX ran really well on my rig.

At native 4K with max setting and path tracing this game apparently hits like 24fps on a 4090. Games are getting much more demanding with cross gen ending and using more ray tracing
