Wow, that is quite sad. Chanandler Bong, well, lol. Haven't seen the show in years but that is what comes to mind for me haha!! He was a cool guy aswell, found him funny on Friends. Always found that type of show funny, it was happy fun comedy that made sense in that 90s world which was 29 years ago 2 months ago, wow! E.g, answering machines, meeting up as mates and basic fun around the apartments. The jokes paired with Joey haha, that passed on in our household too. Especially that joke about the cotton bud and stopping when there's resistance haha LOL. That other one where they do the pivot pivot charade with the sofa and he says "shut up shut up SHUT UP". I remember that line used in the house loads of times as a really young kid. A show that was funny without swearing. Still had that pure innocence about it. I guess it was because they were all FRIENDS. Friends don't cuss eachother out or bash eachother. We could learn a lot from them.

https://amp.tmz.com/2023/10/28/frien...dies-drowning/

Haha anyone remember him on Scrubs? Instantly thought of that aswell, haven't seen this in years too.

The news hit roughly when the clocks went back here in UK at like 1am or maybe 2am?? Apparantly he died yesterday anyways, in a jacuzzi. Ofcourse TMZ is first.

Wow, definitely confirmed. I guess he is the first of the main cast to pass away. (Aside from Gunther who died in 2021. Oh, I'm guessing Marcel the monkey and the ducks died already? Even sadder.) Sucks how these kind of guys died, I don't recall him ever being problematic. He endured his own issues and had his fun while it lasted.

Hard to not be funny when you’re acting alongside Chris Farley

Maybe before you beat up another 28 people at once you can think to yourself “what would chandler do” and choose the right thing to do in memory of him. Srs.

Good night Mr. Bing. Funniest of the bunch by far. He was struggling with drug abuse for years.

I actually found this guy funny aswell. He was funny during that era where comedy was rowdy. I thought everyone on Friends was pretty cool. A show where a lot of the jokes revolved around the 90s lifestyle that can't be remade to make sense today.

I remember him doing an interview where he said he feared death and was likely a big reason for his alcoholism

Shocking news. He was way too young. I'd like to think he was finally sober, but I don't see how he died in a jacuzzi without being on something.

Sad news. Not shocking. Definitely sad. Really liked him and enjoyed his work. He basically played Chandler in Whole Nine Yards but it was still funny AF. RIP

Yeah I read about that aswell. That explained his weight fluctuations throughout the series. I thought fat Chandler looked funny haha. Especially since they poked fun at fat Monica who had to wear a fat suit/mask and had to endure hours of makeup application. Then, well, fat Chandler was just, fat. Haha. I think it was at the end and then the time between to the start of the next series so it looked obvious that he gained a ton of weight.

Man, when you said Mr. Bing, I just thought of that Janice tone of voice for that line hahaha.

Yeah he was naturally a funny guy and his shenanigans/expressions made it better for me. Words/funny writing is one thing, but that ridiculous body language just made the scene.

Sad to think that this kind of a guy struggled that kind of a death. I never saw him as being problematic. Never spoke out of line, just had his fun in life like we all should be with a big smile.

Yeah, I was surprised aswell. My Mum called and told me about it. I guess she was the target demographic back in the 90s when this show released. Clearly was a hit with the same people who I guess are all 29 years older!

I wonder how all the other cast members are taking this.

Link that interview? I can't find it.

Wow, that makes it even more sad knowing he lived out his last moments with that train of thought. Drowning is quite slow and a horrible way to die. So much on your mind as you slowly stop fighting the struggle and fade away.
