Their biggest problem though is all the retail gambling they’d post a 15-20% gain today. Institutions gladly sold them calls at a crazy prices and are capable of just keeping it in check to burn options/theta. It’ll be fine in the coming months but they desperately need to post profits otherwise they’ll get sold back down to the $4-5 range.

Y'all gotta stop yield chasing and start buying stonks that are performing well and have room to grow their dividend. You don't get the yield now, but over time, your yield on investment becomes super high as you accumulate shares and your dividends grow. One of my O&G positions, for example, is now giving me 5% a year (and growing) and I am up pretty big on it from a cap gains perspective. The last decade of ZIRP has made people forget that stocks are fractional ownership in business - not speculative tools. Start buying good businesses and you'll get paid in due time.

Lol.

They are better than bonds for cash laying around, they are better than PLTR and I can get much better than 2% lol.

What are you going to buy? PLTR? Gold? BTC? are you going to try to collect on a small run in the SPX or PLTR at the risk of doomtime? How much upside do you think you have?

Spot on. Dividends are great, but they shouldn’t be the goal if you’re far from retirement.

Are they f*ck..
I can get government bonds/T-bills paying 5% tax free with no risk to capital. Any cash sits in there until buying opportunities come along
Why would I buy some boomer stock that's paying 2% dividence but losing 10% capital each year.. just lol

So basically the FED spoke and pretty much made it clear our Purchasing power is going to continue to drop.. so its time to send it lads. Insane rally coming, they are going to have to print so much money, sweet mother of pearl.

This this and more this. How are they struggling so hard to understand historical trends that we are following almost to a T. Surely I am missing their primary directive right? I’m going to have to switch up my current mix.

The reason market moved today was not because of Jerome FOMC.

It has been known for months now that Fed is done hiking.

Driver of today move was the fact Treasury will calm down on 10 and 30 year bond auctions. Which directly caused yields to take dive from highs.

Its explained here in article below.

https://archive.ph/fbIoN

This should help stocks/tlt etc. How long I dunno but if there was rally into year end this would be the best chance it has.

You're looking for SP to reach now 4350 before end of Nov than do pull back and than one more pump to year end.

Haven't looked that deep into it but this is one of your plays I may cosign on, I haven't looked into because I don't believe it is ready but I do think it can be, rooting for you on this one and I may join.

I stacked a decent amount of $50/share FNMAK/fregp since the lawsuit was won that the government doing the net worth sweep harmed investors and wasn’t in good faith. I bought a fukton of Fnmas/fnmat at all time lows this summer. Face value is around 17x my purchase price(in total) so take that for what it’s worth.

Lots of progress getting made on all fronts for the GSE to be released. Capital rule is due before end of 2023 determining how much capital both need before going back public. Currently the figure is $300B which many realize is outrageous and unnecessary. The general assumption is that is scaled back somewhat.

There is also a bill in the house hr 5549 “end of GSE Conseratorship preparation act of 2023” which will force yellen to submit to congress completed proposals to terminate the conservatorship.

Lawsuit also won interest on their damages spanning 10 years so that will significantly boost the payout for Fmcc common/preferred and fnma preferred holders. Just waiting for the trial to be certified which then means it can be used in future trials.

I have no idea when it will actually pop off but didn’t want to miss the chance when I saw it. This could potentially need another 3-4 years but again I don’t know when news will drop that the government is taking steps to return the companies to public markets. Once the news hits I’m guessing it’ll shoot preferred prices to the moon and commons will probably gain too. Commons I figured were riskier with a slightly higher chance they could still get wiped out… but they’ve been trading for 15 years so can they really just cancel the shares after all this time? Who knows. I’ve got a fair amount of those as well.
