I don't even think this happened, the KKK had a peak in the 20s, and then there membership pretty much plummeted to a point of practically being non-existent, if he DID claim this happened in the 20s, that would be more believable.

And they were so oppressed that they owned their own business???

yall a special kind of retarded. Pretending to not understand basic logic and common sense because you dont like where it leads.

The problem isnt that some people were poor or whatever. the problem is the United States government held back an entire racial class of people on purpose, and then DID NOTHING TO COMPENSATE THEM.

Then everyone look at black people like 'y u mad bruh.'

Why is it people can move to the US from Central or South America with absolutely nothing, be successful and own a home but people that grew up here need reparations?

Gosh, it must be nice to live in a world where you can just ignore that racism ever existed, so much so, that you start believing it was all a "hoax"

I'm at work at the moment, I'll call my parents for the old newspaper clipping of the fire and I'll post it.

Strawman. Klancels say this but its not what is being suggested.

This is about compensation for what was done.

Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

Whites, Hispanics and Asians deserve reparations from blacks for all the crime they've committed. Agreed? We can call it even, slavery wasn't even that big of a deal.

Would be absolutely fine with paying reparations for any that choose to go back to africa.
Freedom of speech is a principle pillar of a free government; when this support is taken away, the constitution of a free society is dissolved and tyranny is erected on its ruins.

So what should happen to those who commit crime? Should they be compensated?

He actually thought Rittenhouse shot and killed three black people.

No seriously, he truly believed this, after he was found innocent.

Guess that generational trauma, and PTSD is the excuse for his ignorance?

Because giving people money hasn’t been proven to cause any long lasting change

Plenty of whites and others grow up poor too. The reason doesn’t matter, we all have different starting points

I’m more for equal opportunities not equal outcomes

If you start poor that sucks but we all have opportunities to progress into a higher social class

Lottery winners have already proven that when people are given a large amount of money, that they didn't earn, they'll blow through it in just a few years.

Not the tax payers, the government does. And the government gets its kick backs at the expense of it's own people.

What kind of kick backs can african americans offer compared to foreign land and influence?

My suggestion would be to not give individuals money but to invest in the black community in other ways: Education, businesses, healthcare etc

And, again with this strawman. Torturing black people for generations deserves compensation. it has nothing to do with 'but other people are poor too!'. its about justice for what was done to the black community. If hispanics or asians or whoever were also enslaved and not given equal rights, I would argue the same thing for them.

inb4 black people simply dont deserve anything for what we did to them!!

You know full well the STurmfrant misc doesnt want a meaningful conversation.

Its also impossible to have a meaningful when the baseline position is 'it didnt happen directly to you so doesnt count!'.

Thats absolutely ridiculous logic, but if its the position they have there's no discussion.

I just don’t believe that we need to serve justice. It is what it is, best to move on and focus on improving for the future IMO

There have been plenty of investments into black communities. Also affirmative action in workplace and education. Hasn’t worked lol

My answer to reparations is pretty easy and doesn’t require much discussion anyway

lol 'I just dont believe justice is required here'. If not for slavery and jim crow, for what?

'Best to move on' for your lily white people who obviously dont care. But then stop wondering why black people are mad and maybe dont wonder why blacks are behind and at the bottom.

Affirmative action in the workplace is a racist myth. It doesnt exist. I have an ivy league degree and I have not seen this whatsoever.

Education, yes but no. Misc acts like every black guy gets into Harvard but that's a very small minority benefting from that. Not really reparations at the scale thats warranted when there are still people walking around who werent born with all of their rights.
