Truth. Plus the line delivered to Hector before they fight. Gladiator was definitely a good movie but fewer memorable lines

I disagree. Troy was a very good game, but I think Braveheart is the best game ever.

Disagree, gladiator one of the best movies of all time. Troy? Very very good, it's up there. But I don't think you can put it on par w/ gladiator.

Hard disagree, OP. I really liked Troy, but Gladiator was an all-time classic that absolutely MOGS Troy in every way except for leading man aesthetics. Nohomo. Semihomo.

I really liked Troy too but gladiator is a notch above .

And Hector. Was the better man between him and achilles. In every way that matters

I prefer the unrated version of Troy where you can see Helen of Troy's tits but that scene in Gladiator where Maximus reveals himself to Commodus and he's riding down the elevator while everyone chants his name is just hype as fuk.

Gladiator is one of those great movies, but if you watch it a 2nd time in too short of a time-frame it feels very slow.

Unbelievable. Check your cp.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

Maybe if Pitt would have had triple the screen time. Troy was kind of a mess with the supporting cast. Orlando Bloom is terrible. Crowe and Pitt are a wash but everything else goes to Gladiator.

Gladiator was top notch writing, directing, acting. The fight scenes were all glorious from the opening scene to the final fight.

Troy had some good scenes but nowhere near the same quality.

You are.miasing out on a great film bro.

But if you didn't enjoy gladiator not sure what to say but then again I've only seen bits and piece of lord of the rings and can honestly say I'm not a fan of that so goes to show you everyone is different

I don’t mean to sound cliche, but the books were pretty good. I saw the movies before I read the books, and discovered there is a lot in the books that they just couldn’t fit in to the movie. Some things had been changed, even subtle, but those subtle differences were actually huge. For instance, when the Hobbits were hiding (Hobbits are almost invisible when hiding), a group of elves were passing and one of the elves stopped and said “Look, Hobbits”. In the movie, the Hobbits stopped and said “Look, elves”. Reversing this kind of stole the lore away from the elves, as they were divine and could see things most could not.

Kind of a nerdy observation, but again, it’s difficult to cram everything in to a movie, but the books are so well written. So many small details that make it such a masterpiece.
