What's a good luxury SUV that I can get on a lease?

It's for me mum. She wants an upgrade from the Jeep Grand Cherokee I bought her 5 years ago. She's guilting me by saying she doesn't have that much time left on Earth and want to drive something nice.

Is it even a good time to lease a car these days? She wants a BMW X5 but the 2024 grill look like ass to me. Audi Q5 is another option. She does not like Mercedes saying it's black people car (no racism intended). Jeep is already paid off so I'm not being fiscally irresponsible, ok guys?

Does it need to be German? What about a Lexus RX 350 or a Genesis GV70

If you’re making an emotional decision, send It. Why would you get your mom something you like/want? Who cares if you like it, get your mom the car she wants. Was she a good mom? It’s an x5, it’s not like she’s asking for something unreasonable. It’s only money

I don't think she's seen the newer version of the BMW yet and is going off the old model.

New cars look cartoonishly silly. I'd look into buying something older, but low miles.

Like, what tf is this chit?:

How about you go do a mother and son trip and test-drive different models, then let her choose what she wants.

Just get a nice $17k 2018 Toyota C-HR XLE. Buy it with cash and never have car payments for the rest of your life.

Try Lexus or Acura, you will not regret but the Q5 is the best SUV on the market

So I decided to buy the Macan. Didn't bother leasing it when I crunched the numbers and I was getting fleeced with interest and whatnot. I just straight cash homie'd the $80,000.

If it's for your Mom and she wants the X5, why not just get her that.

Edit - just noticed it's an old thread, op updating. Good call on the Porsche op. Better yet, great seeing children taking care of their parents as they age for once. repped. gjdm!

Thanks. You were the one to introduce me to the Macan.

Yeah, that's what she said but I assure you it was not meant negatively.

Yeah, the fourth reply got me thinking about the Macan. It was not on my radar at first.
