Insurgency Sandstorm finally updated for PS5 / XBSX




I might have to give this a try soon, heard good things of one of the last few team based traditional/vanilla FPS on consoles.

Would definitely give it a go if it hits PS+, have heard great things. From what I have heard the console player base is too dead too support all the game modes offered. An add to PS+ and PS/Xbox crossplay along with this upgrade would probably do a lot for this game.

Yeah the maps are small but i can't ever find anyone. Matches are over in 1 minute. I legit go 0-3 every game. This game reminds me of Rainbow Six 3 i used to play on OG Xbox live but the maps aren't nearly as good. Idk.

Is the Game Pass version getting updated or is it one of things like Wreckfest where you need to buy the update?

The game reminds me of Counter Strike a lot.

Makes sense with the small maps and tight combat. I haven't played a multiplayer FPS game this fun since Modern Warfare, not counting COD mobile because it's mostly bots.

Definitely at huge disadvantage without headphones, which sucks because my fancy RF ones don't have a mic so I can't talk to teammates. Wish there was a way to use my controller as mic and the headphones for sound.

And, the Game Pass version did get the update, but it's still not a pretty game.
