“Homes in America are the most expensive they’ve ever been, according to one measure.

The median price of a previously owned US home climbed for the eleventh consecutive month in May, up 5.8% from a year ago, to $419,300”

“Home prices reaching new highs are creating a wider divide between those owning properties and those who wish to be first-time buyers,”

Perfectly timed with rent due in a couple of days. I'm sure the crash is just around the corner.

Liberals don’t need a home. They either squatter, live on the street or sleep with a friend.

My buddy bought a house six months ago for 330K, that was assessed at 180K in 2020. Then spent another 60 grand on remodeling it. Of course has a mortgage payment on top of it. He’s screwed long term. Told him it was a bad idea but he did it anyway

A 3 acre completely undeveloped lot just sold for 900k on my street. We are also in the process of incorporating our city which will make it easier to eliminate zoning laws, which currently require 3 acre spacing. I’m sitting on 7 acres. Once I can sell for $2.5 mil I’m out. Gonna buy an RV and cruise around seeing the national parks until I die.

It's insane what people are paying in our area compared to pre covid. Each time a house goes on the market in our neighborhood I will say "no way they are going to get that". The past three times I've been proven wrong. When we purchased our home in 2016 most of the houses were in the 230K - 260k range. Today they easily go for 500k - 600k.

Bought my house for $875 last December - Zillow has it at 1.1 now. A worse house than mine around the corner that needs a ton of work just sold for $950 so it’s probably accurate.

Insane.

CNN: 86% of Americans who do not own their home would like to buy, but can't afford it — and more than half of them say it's unlikely they'll ever be able to do so.
