I may be retarded for asking this but if your getting 5 percent a month in a high yield savings account, wouldn’t that mean your getting a 60 percent return if you kept it in there a year or am I just stupid?

if things look bad, I’m gonna jump into Uvxy maybe with a 10k position, if it does another 30% run, that’s 3k, but if there is a rebound nvda can easily pop 10% or more, That will also be a good opportunity to grab 100 shares for a daytrade or maybe a slightly in the money option for next week, I would be setting the stop loss at 1% on the shares and 10% on the option, profit taking probably 20% for the option and 10% on the shares Unless the chart starts to show something different.
and it’s also possible that there’s just gonna be nothing…
For long-term, I want to see some confirmation of rebound in the S&P 500, at least a golden cross on the hour chart, and then many popular stocks look good,

On the other hand if you really want to go crazy with NVDA, and have insane belief, you could also look into NVDL weeklies.

Bond gang we feasting. Hope the fund I had in my 401k is somewhat long dated. I missed a lot of gains due to the sizing I had in bonds vs equity. Might be time to start shifting a little back to equity if we drop hard again tomorrow. This entire move will be too extreme if we have a day similar to Friday. Gonna look at TLT puts to purchase tomorrow if we have another crazy move. I am underwater on CCs, but I feel like it is for no good reason whatsoever. Why would yields drop sub 4% when fed rate even with a 25 BP cut would still hold 5%? Seriously loving the bond market volatility even when I slightly miss the perfect move.

I've heard that part of this move downwards was due to Harris gaining momentum, what doesn't make sense to me is where all these institutions will be placing their money if not in the stock market. Bonds? Real estate?

fuark its getting srs overnight lmao.. spy $520
question: I'm on about $15k of margin right now. If I put $15k of cash into my brokerage and then buy SWVXX, will that take my margin balance to 0, or does SWVXX count as a position? I know SWVXX counts as collateral for CSPs but not sure if it counts towards meeting margin requirements.

This must be an overreaction. This is a blood bath.
If I had money I would load up because apparently stocks only go up!

I'm of the opinion that it will bounce at major support and return to ATHs, at least that is how I feel right now lol I'm willing to change my views though.
I think the fed cut will give the market an initial boost before it rolls over so that is giving me more confidence that we are not crashing yet.
