Fair enough if you're an actual talented architect, engineer, or some other role that requires talent and skill, but the amount of people who are managers at call centers and think they're top sh*t for it - LOL just LOL.

These people conflate machiavellianism and brown nosing with intelligence and talent.

My last role's manager had a PhD in engineering and she was always slaving aways for the director who was some lady that didn't even have a degree IIRC - director would just flog work off at my manager.

Actually don't fully disagree with you. Absoloutey tons of trash in the coorporate world, the modern world has really created many systems and roles for people who are in reality, utterly useless.

When I was 23 I got a job at a call centre I was lean and tanned AF and all the ladies were mirin - like one girl said "I'd swipe right on that " as she walked past me with her colleague - the lame ass 'floor manager' kept looking at me and getting angry, etc. The guy had a DP on the intranet posing with a duck face or some sh*t, like he actually thought he was hot because he coloured his hair white or some sh*t.

I respect people like this more than the managers, team leaders, etc who have no actual skills in life apart from lying and being fake as fuk.

TBF even a call center manager isn't a B.S job - it's just not as good as it sounds. Like you're not managing anything, you're just lying most of the time and bullsh*ting.

Honestly, a chitty corporate job is the smart decision right now. Being in business right now is miserable. I would love to have some $200k work from home jerkoff gig right now.

However, most of the time I much prefer having a business.

Never understood people with a superiority complex about some bullchit office job. It’s pathetic srs. I think I’m a beta loser for working a corporate job but gotta pay the bills. Not proud of it at all though. I have far more respect for construction workers, tradesman, janitors, truck drivers, even cooks at restaurants. They are harder working and contribute more to society than corporate cucks. Who cares if they make less money? It’s all bullchit after your essentials are paid for anyway.

I'm talking about people who are managers in call centers who think that they're smart and why they have the managerial position - like managing a call centre requires any sort of intelligence.

Being an architect, lawyer, engineer, etc, does require actual skill and talent.

I’m agreeing with you.

I used to work at a cell center too. My manager was a degenerate junkie who used to feed his habit in the bathroom and cheat on his wife with young sloot agents in the parking lot srs. All of the managers were scumbags.

Oh yeah totes.

Yeah and these are the people who think they belong on the top of the social dominance totem pole and if you don't suck up to them, you get fired.

As some one who works a chitty corpo job, and as someone who has access to salary information I agree.

- BRB less than 2% of the company makes $200k
- BRB boomers who make $50k a year in AP or HR talking down to warehouse guys who make about the same, have a pension (because of union), because those old bats have a “salary” aka unpaid overtime.
-BRB everyone bitches about workload and is somehow able to call in sick every two weeks
-BRB constant sigh and UGHHHing because someone asked them a question that wasn’t “Where does your fat azz want to go to lunch today Karen?”
-BRB Chad C-Suite types mogging on wagies by going to Hawaii, Cancun, and NYC for professional development “conferences”
-BRB they all make $700k + not including bonuses
-BRB left alone if you can look busy and punished for actually being busy (people realize you’re not a retard and try to push work onto you) so you’re forced to stare at a blank Excel sheet like a geek.
-BRB fat old hag buttmad because YOU don’t want the donuts that the middle age baldcel brought for the mid 20s receptionist.
-BRB it’s the same everywhere

You don’t lol at the tradies the tradies lol at you

Yeah soooo many people in corporate have massive egos and are so proud of themselves for some reason. Nothing worse than losers who think they're somebody important and then get angry coz you don't suck up to them.

So what do you do in your job that you have.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Spot on, partner. A lot of folks seem to believe that simply achieving some sort of status in life somehow correlates to a high level of skill or intelligence. Believing themselves to be superior, in most regards, to those they have authority over. When in reality, this mindset itself is often just a demonstration of their sub-standard mental capacity. They often don't understand that they've achieved their status in a very controlled environment, where compliance & social factors are often prioritized over skillset & intelligence.

Outside of call centers most people resent their corporate 9-5 and don't think anything more of it than paying bills. Just because your manager does their job of telling you what to do doesn't mean they think they're better or anything. Sure some people act holier than thou but it's mostly projection from OP. If YOU had a middle manager position you'd feel better than everyone. Most people don't give a chit.

Not sure why people on this forum think that they're the main character and everyone else is some NPC. You're not special....99% of people feel this way about working a 9-5.
Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

100%. My sister is a prime example. Good on her for doing well, but the amount of times I've heard her fire someone over something petty and stupid and with no regard for that person... Even if someone done something annoying, I'm not the type of person to lash out and get nasty. I don't think I could work in these positions.

I have no issues with being told what to do and following orders, I am talking about midwits who gain a bit of power in life by manipulating social situations then and start abusing it straight away. These people think they're 'natural leaders' but can't lead for sh*t without flexing their managerial position on people since no one respects them anyway, yet all they care about is being in control of other people.

I do not, but I've had situations where I could have done bad to someone who annoyed me and I restrained myself, where as my colleagues didn't. They would even go out of their way to abuse their power and authority on people who've done nothing.

Like I said, if the person I hypothetically manage made a snarky or smartass comment to me, I wouldn't get them fired over it - continued performance issues are something else altogether.

The other day my sister fired a girl who got dumped by her boyfriend and has been taking days off, etc, from the heartbreak - that's something I couldn't do.

I am smarter than my sister, but she just has no issues with sucking up to management and firing people for 'the company' hence why she's doing better than me.

People act like a call centre manager job is BS and easy, but i highly doubt many people could do it successfully:

- Managing over 50-100 people with individual problems
- Ensuring you get a good NPS score from customers / internal employees
- Managing complex services levels
- Managing stakeholders and partnerships
- Workforce optimization (calls/emails demand VS headcount)
- Legalities, code of conduct, anti-hawking etc.
- Managing catastrophes (depending on the type of call centre) eg: insurance (tornado has taken out a major city)

People just assume its just some ****** office where you sit there getting paid big bucks and do nothing.

Im not a call centre manager but I work with them, and that chit gets real sometimes. People need to fk off slandering jobs and stop being jelly.

Every job has it difficulties and complexities.
