I'm still largely opposed to marriage/kids, at least right now. But I can see myself being someone who eventually marries (maybe has a kid or 2 with) a woman I've been dating for like 5+ years. My criteria is good sex, she's not a total slob, she has an income (at least $50k/yr w/ benefits), isn't signing me up along with her to take on massive debts, doesn't have shopping sprees and expensive tastes, is practical and rational.

I mentioned I'm buying a house, so I'm doing decent IMO. But a big goal before wife + kids IMO is to have lots of equity (40%+) in the house, half a mill in retirement accounts, another $100k in non-retirement accounts. And a strict prenup in an ideal state/country that respects them.
