Wrestlemania 39 foods and drinks
This year is different I’m hosting a get together of some buddies to watch it, some will bring beers but I’m certain I gotta cater food.

Fnatic makes the wm foods thread yearly. But doing early cause I need ideas on what to buy!

Well....There goes Sammy's popularity and push down the toilet
Everyone knew at some point Sammy would "come to his senses" and either turn on the Bloodline or be kicked out. Either way, the peak was hugging it out with KO on Smackdown. This was such a waste, because the "hug" or the reuinting of the friendship should have happened at WM, not on Friday night Smackdown that no one watches. Even the first RAW after WM would have been a better idea.

So what's next? Sammy and KO team up against the USO's and win the tag titles? This is very predictable and short sited. Who are they going to defend against that anyone cares about?

The whole point is Sammy leaving the Bloodline and reuniting with KO changes his persona. Unless there is still some twist to this whole plot and Sammy masterminds another turn or gets the Bloodline to split or turn against the Tribal Chief.

Now he's just riding the coat-tails of his popularity from his split with the Bloodline. Once that fades, its all over for Sammy.

WWE Main Event - Shelton Benjamin vs Charlie Dempsey
Anyone catch that match this week? I found it a pretty good watch, both are a lot better than much of the talent I see on Raw/Smackdown I don't know why they're stuck on ME

Unfortunately I can't find the match on WWE's YouTube but it looks like a fan uploaded some of it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pH7eVPr4oIg

I'm only just now realizing on trying to look him up that he's William Regal's son. Not sure how old he is but he seems pretty young. Mostly been noticing him on NXT.

Could be a good foil to guys like Bron Breakker.

The Judgement Day is set to expand, WHO should join them?
“We are always planning. The Judgment Day are always planning; we’re always plotting, we’re always scheming. I’m always texting with Damian, we have a group chat with me, Damian, Rhea, Dom. We’re plotting, we’re figuring things out. And trust me, once we get ‘Mania behind us, The Judgment Day will be expanding.” - Finn Balor

Does AEW do anything well right now?
Other than create a small niche subset of fans who will defend the honor of everything they do and call folks “WWE fan boys” for anyone who disagrees?

- Littered with spot feats and no ring psychology. Completely contradicts them being supposed about the wrestling.
- Inability to create intriguing angles
- Declining and stagnant ratings
- The dark order being everywhere and anywhere
- Jericho and Moxley wasting space and provide nothing compelling
- An abortion of a womens division with a sorry ass faction being their main angle
- 300 title matches on every show
- Blade jobs in every outing that make it mean less and less each time
- Brings in D list celebrities for spots who nobody gives a fuk about, yet claims to be about wrestling and not sports entertainment

To quote one of the Bobs in the move Office Space, “what would you say you do here?” when it comes to AEW?

Rhea Ripley mouthing the lyrics to her entrance music is so adorable
https://youtu.be/tByziAKets8

Has she done this before when it's playing? Maybe I just haven't been paying close enough attention, but it was perfectly timed to be aimed at Charlotte.

This Bianca/Asuka thing seems like a joke in comparison, the rate things are going I don't even think Cody/Roman is more important, maybe tied?

Ridge Holland Getting Death Threats/Called a Racist for Breaking Biggie's Neck
Back in August of 2022, Ridge Holland was interviewed about Big E suffering a broken neck during their match on the March 11th 2022 edition of WWE Smackdown. Holland had noted how the incident was “a massive knock” to his confidence.

On Sunday night, Holland tweeted the following in regards to the fallout from Big E’s injury…

“Death threats. Threats to my family. Lobbying for me to lose my job. Being labeled as racist. Great stuff 👍🏻 keep ‘em coming.”

WWE announcer Samantha Irvin replied to him and wrote, “Stay strong, Ridge! We know your heart 🙏🏽.”

who are non-obvious "enforcers" in WWE ?
I don't mean guys who can fight who obviously look it (Brock / Lashley) but rather guys who don't seem imposing, might be marketed as jokes, but are secretly feared behind-the-scenes?

I heard rumor that Santino played that role and I have my suspicions about R-Truth and Akira Tozawa?

Like they weren't just kept around for clowning but also to wreck people if they step out of line and nobody would suspect them?

What match should main event Night 1
I expect the overwhelming majority will pick the women! Jk

I’m being told it’s been slated to be them but as of right now they’re discussing the tag match instead.

Do You Agree with Taker That Wrestlers These Days Dont Protect Their Character?
“I do think a lot of our talent, not just our talent, in general they don’t understand any concept of protecting a character or even developing a character enough to protect it. They go and do something on TV and then you go to their social media and it’s completely different. I’m a dinosaur, I am, my mentality is still 20 years ago, but I guess there is a reason why I lasted as long as I did. I was like, ‘gosh live it a little bit. You don’t have to go to the extremes that I did, but man protect it.’ Kinda be like in real life just a little bit. If you’re going to post something, have it match kinda what you’re trying because that’s what you’re trying to convince people. You’re this or you’re that.”

Is anyone else sick to death of all the WWE Samoans?
Roman needs to **** off to z list action movies, the usos are boring AF and solo siacka sucks sonny siakis ass.

I'm so over it I don't want to see the next 5 family members they dredge up, in fact I don't want to see any more Samoans unless they are dancing to the ring barefoot with bones in their hair.

After Watching Drew's and Seth's Careers Recently Made Me Realize How Sasha is Toxic
Drew was the champ 3 years ago. Recently, he has been floating in mid card yet he goes out there and do what he is supposed to do.

Seth main evented WM. One of the best heels in recent memory(Corporate Seth not the current ****gy Seth). Yet recently, he wears gay clothes, lost to Cody 3x straight, gonna get destroyed by Logan... yet he just go out there and perform.

Even Brock - facing Omos for Mania. lol. But I guess he don't care as long as he is getting paid.

But Sasha walked out(twice right?) and she was WWE Tag champs on the last one, cuz she doesn't like how she is used. That is a wrestler's career, sometimes you are main eventing, sometimes you are stuck somewhere. Yet Sasha cannot accept that.

And worse, she dragged Naomi in it.

When the hell is Cody gonna ditch the suit?
Doesn't he know he's not an AEW Exec anymore? A suit has nothing to do with an American Nightmare character and its just not relatable. Most people don't wear suits. He may be trying to "look professional", but it comes off as an elitist.

Lashley wearing a suit when he was in in the Hurt Business made sense. Miz wearing a suit because he's a Hollywood A- Lister makes sense. Cody wearing a suit, for no reason, makes no sense.

And it looked really stupid on RAW when he did the run in to save Sammy. Just not believable he could fight off Usos in tight dress pants and loafers. Wearing a suit shows he wasn't ready for a fight. We're not watching RAW for his endless promos.

Who are the Cena, Orton and Batista of today's era?
1- Roman Reigns (this one is unarguable).

2- Seth Rollins (although deserves a longer and a consistent run in the main-event, but pretty much has been part of some incredible stuff since his singles run from 2014).

3- Really debatable because there is no obvious pick, but I will just choose one after narrowing the list. Was supposed to be Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley), but he left in 2017. Could have been Bray Wyatt after WWE gave him a strong start, but he too left in 2017. There is no clear answer here, but I will pick Drew McIntyre (although he too deserves a longer and a consistent run in the main-event).

WWE Legends - Chyna
Have seen almost all the episodes(and a lot of the Dark Side of the Ring episodes) but for some reason that one hit me harder than the others. Obviously how it ended played a huge role, but I think it’s also due to how likeable she was and how much sh!t she went through. From a kid full of light and love she was obviously running from something and looking for deep connections along the way, but pretty much everyone turned their back on her. And I’m not even talking about during her rock bottom times because at a certain point it’s completely understandable to write people off until they change when they’re at that point in their life. But even before that it seemed like everyone she had connected with just stopped thinking about her as soon as she left. Then after all the craziness her life ended with her sleazebag manager trying to cash in by pushing her over the edge. Was just a fukked up episode and made me realize I should probably do a better job of staying in touch with people and fostering better connections.

Lita and Becky Lynch pulling double duty at Wrestlemania
The tag team champions are wrestling with Trish Stratus against Damage Control one night, and defending the belts another against Shayna Baszler and “ROWDY” RONDA ROUSEY.

How does that make you feel?

WWE in talks with state gambling regulators to legalize betting on scripted matches
WWE
is in talks with state gambling regulators to legalize betting on high-profile matches, according to people familiar with the matter.

WWE is working with the accounting firm EY to secure scripted match results in hopes it will convince regulators there’s no chance of results leaking to the public, said the people, who asked not to be named because the discussions are private. Accounting firms PwC and EY, also known as Ernst & Young, have historically worked with award shows, including the Academy Awards and the Emmys, to keep results a secret.

Betting on the Academy Awards is already legal and available through some sports betting applications, including market leaders FanDuel and DraftKings
, although most states don’t allow it. WWE executives have cited Oscars betting as a template to convince regulators gambling on scripted matches is safe, the people said.

Still, while Academy Awards voting results are known by a select few before they’re announced publicly, they aren’t scripted by writers. Even if regulators allow gambling, betting companies would have to decide if they’re willing to place odds on WWE matches even if it’s legalized. Those discussions have yet to occur at betting firms, according to people familiar with the matter.

Bischoff Says Phillip Jack Brooks is Really Average
“I don’t have any respect for him. I gave him the benefit of the doubt because I never met the guy. When he came out and the first thing he did was go for the cheap heat … by burying Hulk Hogan. It’s like, ‘Wait a minute, dude. You never met Hulk Hogan; you’ve never worked with Hulk Hogan; you certainly don’t know Hulk Hogan; and you haven’t accomplished a fraction of a fraction of what Hulk Hogan has accomplished. So why are you burying him?’”

“When a talent has to go to the low-hanging, ‘cheap heat’ fruit right out of the shoot, that tells me he doesn’t really have anything. He exposed himself to me at that point. He exposed to me what he didn’t have. That was the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard anybody say. So between those two things, it indicated to me that this guy ain’t all he’s cracked up to be. I think he’s a really average talent.” (quotes courtesy of WrestlingInc.com)

two testicle-fondlings tonight, hint we see a new Attitude Era?
First we have Maryse fondling the Miz's giant balls in the Top Gun parody promo and then John Cena fondled Austin Theory's balls.

I think this is Vince signalling to us that he's ready for another go at some attitude.

Think about all the '**** you' chants still being broadcast - they used to bleep that stuff (like they do on this forum) in past years during the PG era.

No we get to hear stuff like "F uck you Roman!" or "F uck you Logan"

Something definitely seems to be happening here.

Brock Lesnar Reportedly Said No to Face Fat Loser Wyatt for Mania
According to Fightful Select, a reason was not given as to why WWE did not book Lesnar vs. Gunther for Wrestlemania. The outlet mentioned that both Bobby Lashley and Bray Wyatt were also considered for Lesnar at the event and Fightful noted the following…

“We’re not sure necessarily when Bray Wyatt was pitched as a possible opponent for WrestleMania, but he was mentioning it as recently as right before WWE Elimination Chamber. Sources familiar with the situation claim that Brock himself nixed the idea, though we weren’t given specifics as to why.”
